When I see "Free Breakfast", I stop. Tires squeal, full stop. Reverse. Park. I quickly learned that the free breakfast is for people that stay at the hotel, so I immediately booked a room. The breakfast was delicious. Ample rolls and biscuits, jams, pancakes, waffles, a variety of cereals, different coffees and teas, fresh fruit, sausage links and discs, eggs, soup, small chocolate muffins, etc. I was beyond thrilled. Photography is not permitted in the dining area, but I discreetly took one photo with my phone. Front lobby area has several comfortable spots to sit and relax. They were watching a television show about ostriches which was very interesting. Several free newspapers and pamphlets are available. Take as many as you want. There is no limit. Front desk area was free of clutter and the employees were very friendly. One of them commented on my rare necklace and we talked jewelry for a while. Room was spacious and bright. To the yelper that deducted points because of painters leaving large buckets on walkways. Where else do you expect them to keep their paint buckets while painting the hand rails? Out in their truck in the parking lot? That wouldn't make sense. Cut the painters some slack. I would have added points if I could because of the painters and their tireless dedication to making the building look nice. So you had to briefly step to the side of a bucket and lift your suitcase? Big deal. Get over it.

We have stayed at this place for many years. We have watched it turn into a total dump. Rooms are outdated and dirty. I hate to say it but this place is now a total dirty overpriced dump.

we were going to spend our whole vacation here. but we only spent one night. at first we really liked our room. it was nice and big. they had two rooms. a living room and a bedroom. they had two tvs. my dad went to take a shower. he slipped. he cut both arms. he said the bottom of the tub was like ice. the shower wasn't that big. there was nothing to grab on to. there was no bath mat, or anything on the bottom of the tub. we went to the office. the lady had a first aid kit. she bandaged my dads arms. that is why I gave them a two. my dad is 91 years old. I helped him out of the tub. he couldn't get out.

With easy access to a very nice beach, this centrally-located resort offers an included breakfast, ample parking and a short drive to all the Outer Banks has to offer. I deducted points because I would suggest that the painters painting the hand rails not leave their large paint buckets on the walkways where a visitor has to negotiate the open buckets with their suitcase or tip them over. They should also label the wet paint areas. The general cleanliness of the common areas; hallways, stairways, outside doors, could be improved, although these areas are exposed to the elements.

There is no elevator, there were bed bug stains on the bedding, and the room smelled like fresh smoke. You are definitely paying for the beach.

This was booked for our one week family vacation. We have a two year-old and wanted to take a beach vacation. This hotel had rave of views and the pictures online look amazing. They were also great views the hotel room. However, when we got there the room was Old and the kitchenette was pretty gross. it seems part of the hotel has been renovated, and those are the pictures they use on their site as opposed to using the actual old rooms they still have as well. I wanted a hotel room with a kitchenette so we could cook, but there's no way I would've cooked anything in there. you had to access the bathroom through the bedroom and the vanity was actually in the bedroom so it was impossible to put the baby to sleep early without waking her if you had to go to the bathroom or get ready for bed. Everything just felt a little sticky. The couch in the living room was plastic. Was great, but you couldn't open the window so there was no way to get fresh air. However, there was a man constantly smoking cigarettes under the no smoking sign outside of his room so not sure how fresh the air would be. This place was so uncomfortable. We decided we couldn't stay there and discuss our concerns with Expedia who we booked through but the hotel forced us to pay for two nights when we only stayed for one even though the conditions were atrocious. I only give this place two stars because the front desk lady when we got there was very nice and the views are nice.
