The hubs and I have driven past Main Street Restaurant on many occasions. It's usually after completing errands, Fourth of July celebration, strawberry picking, or wanting to take a quiet and scenic route back home. I think many people have experienced the "hangry" husband like the snicker commercial, until there is sustenance in the stomach grumpiness will follow lol. Well in this case I found ourselves parked, and entering the restaurant without much talking ha ha. The hostess turned out to be the wife of the owner. She was able to seat us within a few minutes, and asked whether we were taking in the breakfast or lunch menu. She ended up giving one of each for us to decide. Our booth needed a wipe down, and just be aware some of the coverings of the seats are ripped so it can cause some discomfort. Our waitress was handling many tables, and I could observe there was a worker shortage here as well. The chef ended up being the owner since they were short of a cook. I ended up ordering a bacon, egg, and cheese on a biscuit with a side of hash browns. My better half ordered a side of biscuits and gravy with corned beef hash with his side of hash browns. It's the food service industry not everyone is going to provide friendly customer service. Ours was short with responses and not fond of questions. After she took our orders and brought the food to the table, we didn't see her again until the check. My biscuit was fluffy, warm, and fresh. The cheese was unmelted unfortunately, but the bacon and egg was good. Hash browns were half cooked with some being soft and hard. The sausage and gravy was ok and the hubs enjoyed his corned beef and hash. We finished our meal took the check to the front to pay. It was a ok stop to satisfy a hubs hangry appetite:)
