Each room is as magnificently unique and elegant and the other. I've had the joy of getting to know the Blair's and this Inn is a stunning example of amazing hospitality and luxury comfort that literally takes your breath away. I stopped in for a breakfast a few months ago and the food and service by Mr. & Mrs. Blair was spectacular. I've never dined in such a way before! I'm only going to post one photos as I don't want to give too much away - you have to stop in for yourself. Spend your next stay-cation or weekend getaway here. Looking to tie the knot? The Inn is also a beautiful wedding venue and the Blair's can act as your officiants! This couple and their Inn are truly what makes communities like Coastal Virginia great.

What a delightful encounter! Our host, Joyce is friendly, accommodating and thorough in instruction and knowledge of the area.The Inn is clean and charming! I love the history!What a refreshing change from home and I highly recommend the luxury and pampering the Inn offers!!!

My partner and I decided to book this B&B for our 5 year anniversary and we are so happy we did. We stayed in The Haven and it was so quaint and peaceful. We are locals that live nearby the inn so we didn't travel far but it was great to experience a local hidden gem. The entire establishment was spotless and full of character and beautiful art. The Innkeepers, Joyce & Lankford are very sweet and they really care for their guests. During our stay we had complete privacy and a very delicious breakfast which I am going to try to recreate. :) It was such a pleasure to converse with them over breakfast about the history of the house and all of the amazing antique pieces that are intentionally placed throughout the house. Everything in there has a story. My partner and I will be back and we cannot wait to visit again! We highly recommend The Magnolia House Inn!

Magnolia House is a charming bed and breakfast in a quiet neighborhood that was not far from the waterfront in Hampton VA. The house itself is a two-story Queen-Anne style Victorian that dates back to the 1880s, and is beautifully put together. The guest rooms have private bathrooms.I was here for three days; the owners were very friendly. Breakfast was different each day, and each time Joyce made a beautiful home-cooked meal; it was great-- far better than going out to a restaurant, I can assure you.They're also available for (small) weddings and receptions (although I didn't use that feature). And they do have government rate rooms (important to me, although possibly not to you.)I recommend it!

We stayed for one night in the Ellington Room. This is a large room with additional sitting area and jacuzzi tub area. The rooms were very clean and we enjoyed breakfast. Upon arrival there were lemon buttercream cupcakes which were delicious and we still talk about them. The owners were very courteous and gave us good suggestions for restaurants for dinner and beach areas. We went to see the fort while we were there as well. We would definitely stay again!

We celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary here. The attention to detail was amazing. Our suite was beautifully decorated! The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or need a quiet getaway spot, look no further! You WILL NOT be disappointed!!!!

Had a great stay-cation here. Ellington suite was very comfortable and breakfast was fantastic. Highly recommended for a retreat in Hampton!

We have stayed here several times and now consider ourselves, "like family" though we are always treated as guests. We get the royal treatment each time and I am reminded why we keep coming back. The attention to the smallest detail, from the fresh-squeezed orange juice, to the authentic southern breakfasts, to the muisc softly playing at breakfast, and the little touches in the bathrooms, are what have transformed me into a "not a B&B person" to someone who will also stay with Joyce and Lankford. Beautiful, relaxing, and such a pleasure. Should be renamed the "Blair House" after Joyce and Lankford Blair and for the "uppercrust" manners. :)

We just returned to the East Coast and so glad to be near this B&B. Took the opportunity to treat Son and his family to this fantastic home. Of course the rooms and ambiance are wonderful and beautiful but you must also factor in the Innkeepers and staff. They are the co jewels of this Inn. AND the breakfast are delicious. One morning it was croissant French toast with all the trimmings and the second morning it was a frittata with fruit and sausage. Joyce, Lankford and Rose make you feel like you are honored guest in you own house. Real old fashioned welcoming and a stunning home with fantastic and unusual artwork. It's a central place to go everywhere in the area. Treat yourself

Absolutely beautiful!! My husband and I were visiting the Virginia Beach/Hampton/Norfolk area recently and wanted to try something a little different. We wanted to get away from the "beachy-tourist" crowd and decided to stay in a bed and breakfast for the weekend. Staying with the Lankford's at Magnolia House Inn was by far the THE BEST DECISION WE MADE during our vacation. This hidden treasure sits in a relatively normal neighborhood of homes. But once you enter, you are immediately reminded that this is no ordinary home. Beautifully decorated throughout, the home offers reading rooms, books, movies, and sitting areas on the first floor just in case you need additional entertainment. We stayed in the Ellington Suite and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the spa tub and the sitting area.Staying with Joyce & Lankford Blair in Hampton was like having a vacation within a vacation! Thanks for the wonderful service and the care you showed us!!Will definitely have to return when I am in the area again!!
