This is the primary sales facility for Lynnhaven Marine, the Beach's largest and oldest power boat dealer. The building's basically a small strip mall without petitions inside, which allows the company to keep a number of boats under-roof for viewing in all types of weather, much like a car dealership. Additionally, there are always a number of fully rigged boats in the parking lot outside facing Shore Drive, so you really have no excuse if you miss this place if you're looking to buy a new boat.Lynnhavenn's brands include all the Brunswick boats (their largest business being done in Bayliner, Sea Ray, Boston Whaler and Lowe), and many others, including Wellcraft, Rinker, Seaswirl, Polar Kraft and Sea Fox. Motor-wise, they carry both Mercury and Yamaha outboards, and all the inboard and inboard-outboard brands. As the number of Tidewater new-boat dealers shrank during the Great Recession, Lynnhaven continued in business, and actually came through the economic trauma stronger than before. And, even though new-boat buyers now have fewer than 5 dealers to visit in Hampton Roads in their quest for a new boat, you might actually enjoy a sales experience at Lynnhaven Marine. While you won't feel as if you were able to strike any particular deal on the price, the pleasantness and technical capabilities of the folks here, and general knowledge of boating and the local boating scene, will make your purchase pleasurable, and as trouble-free as possible. No bargains, but a multitude of good products, and knowledgeable and friendly folks to help you through your purchase.
