Lumpia King

I tried this food truck while it was at Back Bay Farmhouse and I'm so happy it was there that day. We ordered a plate of pork adobo with rice and pancit, and an order of beep lumpia. We also had some pork BBQ skewers, the sauce was exactly how I've had it in the Philippines. All of it was delicious, and some of the better Filipino food I've had in Hampton Roads. Having been in the Philippines a few months ago, I've been trying to find more authentic Filipino food in the area, so I'm glad I tried out the Lumpia King truck. The food is fresh and authentic, and tastes great! If you ever see Lumpia King out and about, definitely order lots of the lumpia!

However many lumpia you plan on ordering, add 5 to it! You won't regret it!Lumpia King's food is absolutely fantastic. My husband and I ordered the veggie pancit that comes with 3 lumpia and ordered 5 more to share...and then went back for TEN MORE lumpia. Just get more than you think you want because you're going to want more.

Got some really great Filipino food from this truck at a stop at Markers Craft Brewery. The name is not deceiving, the lumpia was as good as any I've had, meaty and delicious! The bbq pork skewers were also delicious, grilled to perfection and tasty. The rice and pancit were also homeruns, prepared perfectly! I'll definitely try them again if I get the chance; highly recommended!

Stumbled upon the Lumpia King by Gavin Dishes food truck outside of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, and I'm so glad we did! Word on the street is that the hospital employees take their breaks super early when Gavin Dishes is on the premises to make sure they can get their hands on some lumpia! The menu had about 5 combo plates and a few items a la carte. Along with the Chicken Skewers, they also had Chicken Adobo, Pork BBQ Lumpia, and Pork Tacos. All came with 2 pieces of lumpia, of course! Prices were pretty cheap in our opinion and each plate came with a generous portion. The chicken was very flavorful and covered in sauce. The lumpia: AMAZING! It was fresh, flaky and authentic!I recommend looking them up on Facebook and Instagram for their schedule. Along with breweries, they also frequent hospitals, apartment complexes and markets!

Ignore the 1 star reviews - seriously. Food is superb. Myself and a couple coworkers got a plate from their food truck and we absolutely loved it. Great price and the lady was super sweet. Everything cooked perfect and not greasy. Thank you guys for an amazing lunch!

food was under cooked and lacking, stop by the food truck on my short break and am very underwhelmed. food was greasy and lacking. food was given to me fast but also tasted as if it was made some time ago. they also have no website to contact them.

Im filipino, and was expecting some pretty good filipino food from this food truck outside of trunk or treat. sadly, i was highly let down by the food. the pancit is flavorless, the meat was insanely: overcooked, under seasoned, and all around a disappointment to filipino cuisine. the only "okay" thing was the lumpia, however my lumpia was still overcooked. lastly the sweet chili sauce was completely congealed and wasnt even considerable for dipping, unlike how the sauce should normally be.
