One of my top spots in Virginia Beach, even in Hampton Roads. Food is always fantastic and high quality. They have really great, underrated happy hour, as well. Service is welcoming and efficient, cocktails are good and I love the atmosphere. Get the duck, the cod fritters and definitely the beef tartare if they have it!

Absolutely love Love Song! The drinks are fantastic, and it's my go-to spot on Friday and Saturday nights for a laid-back bar vibe. I especially enjoy when they host events, like the vintage pop-ups from Moon and Skye Co.--always a blast and such a fun experience! You really can't beat this place for happy hour. The staff is incredibly kind and consistently amazing. 10/10 every time

Super warm greeting when we entered and it is much larger inside than I expected. We were easily sat at a nice table off the bar and reviewed the limited menu. Loads of drinks and a huge wine list - but food options are short. I like that our server said the food changes out often bc they try to only use what they can locally source. My diet is somewhat limited right now and I can't eat raw fish or fish eggs and limiting mercury and such so most of the fish, duck, etc. dishes weren't for me. I didn't see a salad aside from a beet salad and I hate beets. So we went with a toast, cheese and peach jam option and a few drinks as apps before we went on with our night somewhere else. I, a non-drinker for my entire life, saw a limited non-alcoholic menu but appreciated the effort to include two mocktails and NA options. I decided to go with a grapefruit, cinnamon agave, and lime soda drink and it was STELLAR. Not too sweet, minimal carbonation, loved the grapefruit and cinnamon - probably the best mocktail I've had in a while. In the end, we loved it and will be back again to try entrees. Service was excellent and they were pretty busy on a Wednesday at around 7pm. We saw the back room where they feature parties and special events and were equally as impressed by that. A small gem in the area for sure.

This was such a cute and delicious find! They had a great happy hour and everything on the menu sounded great! We settled on the conch fritters, mushroom toast, and cabbage salad. The flavors were outstanding in everything. I definitely want to recreate the cabbage salad at home. The mushroom toast was my favorite. So unique and tasty! I would highly recommend this spot!

Let me start by saying there was a review about the mushroom tartine that said they think about the dish often and after having the dish last night, I will undoubtedly be thinking about it on the regular. So freaking good. Like, out of this world, make you do a dance in your chair good. We also had the rockfish. The broth was amazing and we had some bread that came with the smoked fish dip left over so we dipped that in there at the suggestion of our server. Amazing suggestion. The restaurant has a homey and cozy cool atmosphere and the staff and playlist is top tier. Seriously though, get the mushroom tartine. You will not regret it.

This charming wine bar is tucked away in an ordinary looking strip mall of sorts on a busy street, perfectly hidden from tourists (unless they are Yelpers lol). The menu offers a tasty mix of reasonably priced food and drinks. Our bartender, Morgan, chatted with us and kindly offered me a sample of a drink before I ordered.

I met a friend up here for cocktails and some light eats. The place was very comfortable and the servers were all sweet as pie. I mean it. They were absolutely awesome, friendly and quick to perceive what you needed before you even had to ask. They were full of smiles and laughs and made the evening all the better! After a few cocktails, food sounded good again (I had a late lunch earlier) and there were some sashimi options on the pop-up stand in the back of the rear bar. The hallway is open between the main restaurant/ bar and the rear one. It wasn't clear if it was all the same place or two different ones, but regardless, we were told it was okay to get take out from there and bring it back to our place at the bar. The Love Song kitchen and menu boasted some nice choices as well and I plan to come back hungry next time and try some more. On this occasion I just had to try the pictured Olive Oil cake. There was no picture to accompany the description and it sounded non-dessertish to me but I went for it anyway based off the server raving about it being the best ever, etc. etc. It was a fantastic dessert that I'd order again but feel it's a rare find as I eat out all the time and have NEVER seen this offered anywhere else. In any case, come here with a date, come here with friends. It's a nice quiet and intimate place a couple of blocks off the beach. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

This is hands-down one of the most hidden gems of Virginia Beach. It's a super small location on a tiny strip right next to the beach. Parking is a little bit hard to get because it's only street parking so I did have to go around the block a few times but once I found parking it was definitely worth it.Walking in it felt very welcoming and I loved the lights and colors of the restaurant as well as the open kitchen set up. If you're comfortable with sharing a table they have communal tables and seats at the bar but you can also choose to wait at their dive bar at the back of the restaurant for a table to be open, which is what I decided to do. The dive bar was also super cute and a great waiting area to grab a few drinks.once we got a table, the waitress was very welcoming and the menu was awesome because there were a lot of options for vegetarians, as well as non-vegetarians, because I was with a friend that was vegetarian, we decide to get everything that had no meat and thing in its own way. also, I just want to say that the drinks were amazing as someone that doesn't have alcohol. I really appreciate it that they're mocktails were so delicious and they actually had choices for me.We started with the cheese and olives, and I really liked that. Everything was shareable during the experience. after that we got a mushroom toast and it was phenomenal. The crunch of the bread with the warm seasoned and sautéed mushrooms were divine after that we had a soup and it was so nice that the waitress ahead of time got a separate bowl so that we could share the soup. I do wish that the portion size for the soup was a little bigger since there were four of us sharing, but it was definitely perfect for the cold weather. We also got a salad that was very unique with beets and mint and devoured that. Our last entrée was a gnudi and that was also super delicious with the sauce they made for it. definitely be coming back to try other things based on the season for their menu. we definitely couldn't leave without getting desserts of course so we got the banana pudding cake as well as the olive oil cake and I really enjoyed both especially the olive oil cake because the last place I tried it did not have a good ratio and I haven't had an olive oil cake in over a year but this place definitely did a very good job and I love olive oil cake again so thank you.Highly recommend everyone go try this at least once !

The ambiance of this place reminds me of a NY wine bar. Very cute place and it was within walking distance of our hotel which was nice. Barkeep was nice but not very talkative. Quick service though! We sat at the bar and was around for happy hour. The drinks were pretty good. My hubby's food was the bomb. He got cod bites. I ended up getting olives just to have a little snack and I tricked myself because I felt like I overpaid but I am the one that ordered it! I should have known haha. I think this place is on the right track but needs a little more refinement! They got to develop their drink menu more. And have a few other things to eat. We would go back though!

Love Song...do we LOVE you? Yes we do! We recently had hubbies sister and her husband join us. It was odd. My sister-in-law that was laid off a job she worked for 10 plus years, found herself cut from the job. She found another quickly, yet hadn't gotten time off. Her husband and my husband are identical personality wise. And their jokes are over my head often. So I take it upon myself to entertain them for 3 days. I suggested a bar for them to go to, I suggested to hubby that he then to. It was a hit!! I suggested Love Song for dinner. It was a massive hit! They know awesome restaurants from where they live yet live close enough to NYC.
