Lo Mo Pizzeria

The crust was prefect! Thin and crispy with the airy fluffy outer crust. I liked the more dynamic flavors of the winter pie (kinda spicy but with sweet onion). The fungi pie could have used something to make it pop, like fresh herbs or a glaze. The pizza maker seemed very friendly but the lady at the counter didn't seem to really care, almost bored with my questions. The inside was very cute and chill.

Let me just say, pizza is a food group for me! I can eat it any time of the day. Tonight we visited LoMo and I (we) had a great experience.The shop is a smaller place so don't think it's going to be easy to roll up w/ a party of 10, but I am certain they'd do their very best to accommodate you! It's dimly lit so there is no commercial feel, tasteful music was playing and the vibe was good. We ordered the spicy pepperoni with roasted garlic (comes on the side in oil, very yummy addition to mine) and the hot honey to drizzle.We also each had drinks and we got a bottle of sweet red wine.The pizza was delicious. Sourdough crust, which wasn't too dense. The edge crust was kind of airy, which, I liked (and no complaints from my son or his girlfriend). It had fluted dollops of ricotta and basil leaves, giving it a fresh touch.I'm assuming it was the owner who came to our table and asked how we liked it. We gave him props because it was good! He was very friendly. We will be back, you should def give them a try!

Hands down the best pizza in the area. I went to school on long island and this is the closest you can get to thin crust pizza reminiscent of the area. Great flavorful and seasonal selections, a curated wine and beer menu, and the best garlic knots in the area. The star is the process - the pizza is cooked to perfection every single time, no matter the toppings. The homemade ranch is also worth the splurge. Don't miss out on Lo Mo!

We love to get takeout pizza from Lomo! They are always fast and efficient. Their staff is kind and friendly. The restaurant is rather small with a few tables to eat in. There is about 10-12 parking spaces out front. We normally just get either the cheese or pepperoni and we ALWAYS get the garlic knots. They come with knotty sauce but I normally opt for the garlic confit it is AMAZING if you are garlic fan! :) (i ate the garlic knots and forgot to take a pic) We will be here again and again

I have driven past Lo Mo so many times and finally had the chance to stop in. AMAZING!!! We started with the summer salad and garlic knots. The salad was super fresh and had a great tangy vinaigrette. The garlic knots were SOO good and had confit garlic and lots of pecorino... it was everything we wanted. From there, we knew the pizza was going to be special. The PIZZA!!! We got the pepperoni (pepp)and it was a perfect pie. The crust had amazing color, chew, and was so thin it almost melted in my mouth. The crumb was perfect, there was stellar blistering, and the slice was structurally sound: NO FLOPS!This is now my pizza place forever!!

I know people complain that there aren't any real pizza spots in the Hampton Roads. Well, Lo Mo is the real deal. I have a tradition of celebrating events with pizza. I'm so glad I chose Lo Mo this past celebration. Look at this pie and tell me it isn't beautiful.Let me tell you, the spice was there but the pockets of ricotta made the perfect balance. The pizza was cooked right (it wasn't a soggy, floppy mess like so many places), the sauce had good flavor, and the basil was fresh.They have a decent sized dining area. It was a take out order, so I can't speak too much about the service. But from the little interaction I had, they were very friendly and my pie was ready pretty quickly.I won't yet hail it as the best pizza in the area, but I honestly can't think of any contenders. Keep it up Lo Mo!

Was in the area, and thought to try someplace new. Saw how good the ratings and pictures were and thought it'd be a good place to try. I have to say, I am glad I picked up a box! It was crispy and thin, and the sauce was flavorful. Cheese was nice, if you're looking for cheesy though, this isn't the pizza for you. It's just the right amount. It also wasn't greasy, which is always nice. The crust is chewy and crisp, not my favorite, but still really enjoyable. Overall, definitely will go here again if I'm close enough, and if you haven't been here and can, please do. You won't regret it!

I've been following LOMO Pizzeria on Instagram for months now, patiently waiting for them to open up, and I'm glad I was finally able to try it! FOOD: We ordered the spicy pep and their garden salad. Their ingredients are legit from a local garden, and you can taste them! Props to the owners for being so intentional about their ingredients. The crust is too crunchy for my taste, and the big pieces of cheese are a sweet touch but not my favorite. SERVICE: I called in advance to place an order, and the young woman on the phone was so nice and accommodating. She said my order would be ready in 30 minutes, but I was an hour away, so she said she'd adjust the time they'd start making the order so my food wouldn't be cold. When we picked it up, the place was packed! There was a vibe in there of camaraderie and positivity. I loved it. LOCATION: Can I say how much character this place has? I mean, the subway tile, the tomato jars as decoration, and the picnic tables as outdoor seating. So much thought went into the details of this location, and I really appreciate that. There are 6-7 parking spaces in this lot. Will I come back? YES! I plan on it since we can just ride our bikes here. I hope this business thrives!!! You guys deserve the best. We need more places like this in this area.

We ordered a large cheese pizza and garlic knots. Both were delicious. The pizza was New York style big slices. Perfect ratio of cheese to sauce to crust. The garlic knots were decadent doughy greasy and yummy.

By far the best pizza anywhere around here. Amazing value for what you're getting. They do occasionally sell out so just know that but that should let you know how good it is.
