We have been coming here for the past 5-summers and we have had nothing but great seafood and great service! They are a family run and owned business! We always get the carb cakes; they are freshly made and full of lambs of crab. We also get the crab ball and the shrimp balls, both so delish. We also get t a bushel of crabs and they will cook for you... everything from the fresh oysters to the crab pie has never disappointed us! This is a must to stop by!

Best crab cakes I've ever had in my life. My SO's parents live in the area and I was told no visit was complete without a trip to Little River Seafood. We ordered fresh crab cakes, a crab dip ball, frozen crab balls and frozen crab cakes so I could bring them back to NJ for my parents. We devoured the crab dip ball in under an hour. The fresh crab cakes were unbelievable. Basically all meat, no filler, which is how crab cakes are supposed to be. I'm already looking forward to coming back in October! Highly recommend.

We visit the area often during spring and summer and my in laws found this place and stop by each time we are on the way to the river. I've not actually been to the store but I believe it's family owned. The in laws are able to call ahead to order food so they can just swing by and pick it up on way to the river house. They have hands down the best crab salad and crab cakes you'll EVER have. Fresh and real lump crab meat - no fillers. AMAZING!

Little River Seafood is a gem of a seafood market located on Rt. 360 (Northumberland Hwy.) near the intersection of Rt. 695 (Blundon Rd.) in Burgess, VA. It's a new looking tan colored warehouse with an immaculately kept retail section in front. The ladies working the counter were friendly, fast, and helpful. We bought a pound of large scallops, a pound of jumbo shrimp, 1/2 dozen Rappahanock Oysters, and a sizable shrimp cheese ball for just over $50. Not a morsel was left by the end of the weekend! Worth every penny. This will become our go-to seafood spot on the Northern Neck.

We've been going here for 7 years. It never disappoints. Always great product. Once we got a bunch of clams, got them home, didn't smell right. We took them back, no questions asked, they gave us a bunch of new ones. They're local and they're great.

Should be more appropriately branded "tasteless mush cakes".Not worth a second bite,; I tossed it in the backyard for whatever little animals might choose to take a chance on it.

Love this place. Beautiful seafood case, great selection (even in January) and always super fresh catch. Friendly staff happy to pack your stuff carefully and on ice. Their crab salad and shrimp salad are as good as homemade.

We purchased crab cakes about two months ago and they were awesome. Purchased crab cakes one week ago and they were terrible. Mostly filler with little crab and taste , so wondering what happened in two months time . Highly recommended crab cakes to everyone two months ago but certainly cannot today. A shame
