Offering authentic Mexican cuisine in Richmond, Virginia, Little Mexico is the perfect local spot to dine. A staple during my VCU days, Little Mexico ave a variety of traditional Mexican dishes, including tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, and burritos. They also have a selection of appetizers, salads, and desserts. The inviting atmosphere makes this restaurant a good place to go for a casual meal with friends or family.I tried out their mezcal summer cocktail, salmon bowl and the Birria egg rolls. So so good! Brunch + lunch specials + Happy hour + daily drink deals = DELICIOUS EATS AND FUN ALLDAY EVERYDAY!I will be coming back on Thursday for the Don Julio and Patron drink specials. Also visit their sister restaurant Lolita's in Carytown.

Had a family member at VCU hospital, we needed to grab lunch and wanted to get out of the hospital cafeteria. Came to Little Mexico and could not have been happier. the restaurant was medium size but very quaint and welcoming. We were welcomed with some chips and salsa, which were really yummy. I got the burrito grande which came with steak, rice, beans, sautéed vegetables, and covered in a chipotle cream sauce. It was very good. My daughter got the birra tacos, and she loved them as well. My wife got the fried ground beef chimichangas. No one was disappointed. All the food was very well-made, very fresh and very delicious. The waitstaff were very friendly. I would eat here again and would recommend to anyone looking for some yummy Mexican food.

Tried Little Mexico for the first time tonight. Amazing. I got a bowl and my wife had enchiladas. The chips were great as was the salsa. The bowl was flavorful. Great meal on a cold Friday night. We'll definitely eat there again. A great neighborhood gem.

No complaints! The food was yum! My chicken enchiladas verdes were delicious and the rice and beans were good as well. As someone who doesn't even like beans very much these were good! The salsa was also delicious and tasted fresh. I also enjoyed my strawberry margarita, although kinda wished they put salt/sugar on the rim. The service was also good! We got seated right away, food came out fast, and there was no waiting on the check because the payment was completed right at the table; which, is something I do not mind, but I suppose some might. There is also an 18% gratuity added to the check.But overall a great restaurant and a chill environment. I will probably go again.

Friendly and welcoming.We were checking out the neighborhood and stopped in. Ponied up to the bar and ordered a couple of margaritas and the sampler appetizer. The appetizer was a great way to see what this place was all l about. Fast delivery of food. Ground beef nachos have tasty queso poured over them. Pico, guacamole and sour cream accompany in little ramekins.

This is the perfect quintessential Mexican restaurant. If you want traditional Mexican cuisine then I highly recommend give Little Mexico a try. They have everything you would expect, like tacos, burritos, quesadillas, fajitas, salads, and more. Their delicious protein choices include chicken, steak, ground beef, shrimp and vegetarian options like black beans. Everything is super affordable and it always comes to you piping hot, so you know it's fresh. They also provide complimentary chips & salsa with unlimited refills. I definitely suggest getting some queso or fresh guacamole to go along with the salsa. You won't regret it. This restaurant has plenty of tables, booths, and bar seating. I recommend carpooling with whoever you plan to go with, considering it's only option is street parking and this area can get especially busy on the weekends. I certainly think it's a must try!

Umm. Yeah. So. Little Mexico is what it is. Typical Mexican food with that typically good hustle from the staff. The food and drinks come out in a pretty steady stream.The food isn't going to win any James Beard awards but whatever. We were in town to see a show at The Altria so this location is prime. Not to mention that rat hole down the street (821 Café) can go get f**ed. So, on the night of February 11th, 2022 an Angel appeared to save the night and it was Little Mexico on Cary St. Thanks for being there for us.Food is 3 stars Service is 4

Lunch portion Grilled Quesadilla Drink: Spicy Jalapeno Food was tasty. The chicken very well seasoned and guacamole was fresh!

This was by far the worst Mexican food I have ever had in my life. The server was good though. At least there is that

My wife and I love coming here. Service is always very polite and fast. The food is great!
