Nothing wrong with this place.Absolutely would and will return. This visit was not our first time and won't be our last. The food is excellent, portions are more than fair. Service was good, pleasant waitstaff, good teamwork. The dining room was clean, busy, and loud. It is not a place for a first date nor a business meeting.Everything was excellent.

I went out to LPH last weekend for the first time with family. The restaurant is really cute inside. It is steps down to the tables but they do have a wheelchair lift. Their happy hour is 3-6 daily which is amazing! We ordered the pimento and pickles as an appetizer and not only was it delicious but also came out very quickly. Our meals were amazing as well. I have the chili with grits and it was really tasty - as well as vegetarian. The grits were cheesy, the cornbread was sweet and the chili had a great flavor. I have a few sweet potato fries off my husband's plate and they deliciously crunchy with a balanced salty and sweet!

My first time visiting Liberty Public House, and it was a great experience! The waitress was super helpful and gave us excellent food recommendations. We ordered a few items from the menu, and everything was absolutely delicious. For entrées, we had a burger, a bagel sandwich, and the country benedicts. The food portions were generous and perfect for sharing. One standout feature is their impressive selection of sides. We tried the french fries, mini waffles, and jicama slaw--everything was so flavorful! Just writing about it makes my mouth water!I definitely recommend Liberty Public House and can't wait to come back when my sister is in town!

The service and food at this local restaurant. I suggest trying one of the house specialty drinks, I did and enjoyed it so much. Happy hour is from 3-6 so treat yourself to 25% off appetizers and drink specials. The menu is an assortment of burgers, sandwiches, and dinners. We purchased three different meals and all three were a hit. We especially enjoyed the spinichoke dip.The place is small so seating is limited. Plan on waiting or going early. We loved the gay pride vibes discreetly added in various spots.

Very glad they are open on Monday nights! A group of 4 of us walked around the charming neighborhood and wanted to get a quick bite. This was the closest place to us. The place is very casual with a dive bar vibe. That being side I was very impressed by the menu. They have all day breakfast, main dishes and burgers full of southern flare. 2 pages full! I think I have to come back to try more dishes. I ordered shrimp and grits in order to compare with other places. Also ordered Brussels sprouts because somehow it only tastes so good from a restaurant! The dishes are full of flavor. For my taste though, they were a bit much - quite oily and a bit salty. I was surprised how much bacon was in my order but I guess like they say - anything tastes better with bacon. My dining partners also ordered a southwestern chicken salad but he didn't finish most of it. The service was prompt and friendly. The dishes were served quickly. Not sure how it is on a busy day though.

Amazing experience. Visited for Richmond Pride and tried out this place. Had a great time. The food was great and service was better! The portion sizes were large and fulfilling. I love that it is a lgbtq space with lots of rainbows.

We are entering a new phase of business model - where disenfranchised and minimized members of our community need our help and support. To ignore the signs of discrimination and intimidation that is being given to minorities, immigrant businesses and the LGBTQ+ community is to basically condone it, and if anything, my commitment to supporting and promoting businesses that are welcoming to all, inclusive to all and, most importantly, serve all equally and without prejudice has become more solidified and definitive. So I am happy to promote and support LPH, who not only go by their old moniker the Liberty Public House (kind of sweet irony in these dark times) but also promote their alternate identity - Lesbian Pancake House - in their signage, swag and decor. And to be honest I like the latter name, as they serve brunch all day (and it's really really good) as well as hometown faves like sandwiches, burgers and wraps. Their vegan selections are top notch, and there is truly something for everyone. There's no ostentatious or uppity vibe here, and the care and love they put into their food is also evident in their business model. Proudly Woman-owned and known to the Church Hill community as a safe and welcoming space for all, the LPH (in whatever version you prefer) is a good choice for great food and a comfortable welcoming atmosphere. Heaven knows we can use more of those in times like these. If you are in any way angered, outraged or saddened by the present state of our leadership, I implore you to support business who carry on, with heads held high, with pride, renewed purpose, and most importantly, love and respect for all.

I finally tried LPH for the first time and it did not disappoint! I went for a date night with my BF and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. We got there right before HH ended 3-6 (also every day which is AWESOME) and got a few drinks. We started with the blue crab croquettes and they were so good! It had a lot of crab meat vs filler. I then ordered the RVA hot honey sandwich with coleslaw and my boyfriend got a burger with fries. Both of our entrees were delicious! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

Give me Liberty or give me death!!! I felt like death leaving this place.Man, let me start by saying, "Table of 4, holiday weekend, kick off, so the team decided to grab lunch together, COOL." I am a 1st and LAST timer......My order: Ol' Faithful (scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, biscuit, and hashbrowns)I wanted a side order of pancakes. Well, the waitress wanted to give me an entire pancake meal, and I asked for just 1 side order (a la carte). The pancakes only (side order) were $12 for 3 that were not edible. Photo: My food and pancakes were dusty dry inside. Couldn't cut with a knife. They were tough. At clean up, I found out it was gluten-free. No thanksEveryone eats, and we are heading out, returning to the office. Instantly, I needed to sit down and center myself. Felt loopy, headache, nauseous not just me, all of us!!!! One took a 15-minute nap to try to bounce back, I am flushing with water, and the others are in the bathroom. So, notification are being made to our job because something is clearly off and we all are not sure what is going on....we left the office and directly to get lunch to return directly back to the office. ( I fast until 1100hrs, this was my first meal for the day)The best way I explained it, feeling loopy like when I eat Chinese food and forget to tell them no MSG. Nothing on the menu states cooked with MSG.Called the location just to check if they cook with MSG, Alexia/Alexis (manager) heard my issue, quickly put me on hold to check a sauce they cook with; returned to say no MSG in the building. But you cook with a sauce that has it, ok.Yeah, I will pass on this one. You all enjoy, thou...
