I used Leon Nixon Catering for my wedding in Kill Devil Hills. They were so professional & fresh! I will hands down use them again! When my Bonus Dad got to the location, they knew it was a drive, they places cardboard & plastic for the ride. She did not have to lift a finger to help with anything. The food was fresh and the entire wedding went back for seconds!

Great lunch buffet on Sunday's. A little off the beaten path but it is worth it if you are traveling near Edenton to stop in. Great southern cooking. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Just got back from the "Shag Fest" at the Peninsula Food Bank. Outstanding BBQ. The disappointing part was the set up and the seafood. They did not use any heat sources for the hot food and were just dumping new food on top of old. The scallops were broken pieces and the pans stayed empty most of the time. We arrived within the first half hour and never got any. The oysters were fried in something that made them black, old oil?? The fish had an "off" smell. Crab balls were good and Hush puppies were tasty but cold. The food was not kept filled. They seemed under staffed for the huge crowd that paid $35-45 each. Even a charity event should be done professionally.

The food is fresh and service ok. For a small town, exceptable. Not giving more than 3 stars because I do not care for a waitress who feels my teacup with ice with her bear hands. Not even attempting to rinse her hans beforehand, clearly not well trained in that sector. Who knows what is going on in the kitchen?

These folks catered a relative's wedding, and were well-organized, had great food, and lots of thoughtful touches, like posting the buffet menu at the start of the line so that guests could plan their choices and speed up the process.
