Las Tunas Mexican Restaurant

Word of warning, if you want to eat by yourself then bring cash. We walked in because my sister in law wanted salsa and I was to lazy to walk in Walmart. I sent my husband in and he walked back out saying if he didn't spend 10$ they wouldn't take his credit card. I then walked in, looked at their menu which has a large amount of stuff under 10$ (lunch meals for 6-8$) and am wondering how much food cost they lose because everyone uses a card now and not everyone knows to keep a 10$ bill in their wallet. My husband on the other hand said they probably don't have issue because that's when they tell you order soda or extra cheese to roll it over the 10$ mark.

Good Mexican food. Clean restaurant with Mexican music playing in background. Today is National Margarita Day. I'm dining in a Mexican restaurant and no one suggested a margarita.

Definitely not going back, seemed like the food was already cooked and just warmed up. The staff was a little flighty and not great with answering questions about the food.

Short staffed. Only two servers who are also the greeters and they make the drinks. Service was quite slow but staff was nice enough...The free chips and salsa is great. They also come with a little bean dip which my family loved. Crab enchilada is AMAZING. It was very salty at first but once they re-made it it was delicious!Waitress was new but a little frantic and snatched the receipt out of my hand when I noticed a mistake. All in all the food was really good but things did not operate smoothly!

Did not care for the place at all the only think I liked was the chicken was not as dry as normally would be also only Mexican place that makes you pay for more chips ... and our server ignored us for the moat part and spent the whole time on her phone she even took a personal call while we where trying to pay

Meh. Being a well cultured south west girl... I didn't come in with high expectations. The salsa was lack luster and required a lot of salt. The chips were not fresh and I'm pretty sure they aren't homemade. I had a chimichanga. The tortilla was fried to perfection. Stuffed full of delicious chicken that was flavored wonderfully. Wasn't impressed by the strongly diluted white queso on top. The beans were authentic and the rice was alright. The tiny dollop of sour cream on wilted lettuce didn't bother me since there wasn't a thing on my plate that had even a hint of spiciness. Glad we tried it but I'll pass next time I get a whim to have Mexican.

What a disappointment. We visit this area each year and have always looked forward to this Mexican restaurant. Last year we found it to be poor and this year we gave it another try, still poor. Food was very bland, refried beans were thin, food was not at all spicy and we had to watch a Spanish TV program and listen to a Spanish radio program from another area. I asked if the ownership had changed and I was told same owners past seven years. The final disappointment was after ordering the special at a reduced price we were charged the menu price. Although quickly corrected it was still another disappointment.

High quality low cost Mexican restaurant. Definitely added to my must-visit list for my next visit.

food was delicious and good service go along with it. It is not a fast food restaurant so don't expect immediate food delivery . Wait was not long, and food was prepared when ordered. We visited on 05/12/ 24. Adequate number of wait staff for volume. I /We will return again.Food quality far exceeds some of the other Mexican food restaurants in Gloucester

Wow !!!! Been to this restaurant a couple of times and thought the food and service was great. Just went for a cinco de Mayo take out order. Food was phenomenal!!! Quick service with a smile! The quesadilla and tacos were out of this world! Wife and I are now planning a weekly trip to las tunas.
