I decided to try this place because another fellow foodie did a video on Instagram, and it wasn't too far from my home, and my hubby and I were tired. The lousy service started:-when we entered, we weren't greeted until we inquired about the seating - we stepped inside to not block the doors while they cleaned off the tables - once the tables were cleaned, they precede to try to sit people before us who came after us- once seated, it took a while to get our food we which was served before us - ordered tableside guac and it was bought to our table already made- our waitress disappeared while serving us and was replaced by a male waiter -requested additional sour cream and cheese was ignored the first time The food was good but not good enough to ensure the poor customer service

Note: Now under new ownership/management as Las Palmas.My wife and I were long-time fans of our neighborhood joint, the Restaurant Ole. There was a change in management about two years ago, and the "new" Ole didn't hold a candle to the "old" Ole - to the point that we stopped going.With the reopening as Las Palmas, we decided to give it a shot. Same layout, very similar decor - although the booths are gone on the dias, and just tables and chairs now. My wife was in a wheelchair at the time of our visit, there were no issues getting into the restaurant or adjusted chairs to bring her wheelchair up to a table.As she is wont to do - she went for the ceviche (shrimp). Outstanding flavor, freshness, and wonderful portion size. Will definitely have again as we explore other menu items.I went with the torta - a cubano. Excellent, and substantial portion - I brought half of it home for tomorrow. Will enjoy again, also.As a Hampton Roads Mexican restaurant, and not too far from the former second location of El Toro, of course there was a white sauce. Fantastic. We will return another night for margaritas and more menu experiences.
