Great service great food highly recommended for people looking for good Thai or just a good atmosphere very pleasent will return

We dined at Lanna as a family and there were very mixed reviews amongst us. Some really enjoyed their food while others did not. I had the red curry and really enjoyed it. It was flavorful and had great heat without being hot just for the sake of being hot. One family member felt their dish was too oily and another said their dish was ok but nothing special. The service was good and the food came out quickly, however it didn't come out all at once which is preferred. The building is old and somewhat run down but it was clean inside.

I stopped back in here after a year to grab some take-out. Ordering online was easy and it was ready to go when promised. I ordered the following, panang curry chicken & drunken noodles and both were delicious and generous portions even for lunch! Flavorful and tasty as well! Great Thai place here in the burg!

I never like to give a non-chain restaurant a low star rating, I love smaller businesses and always look for the good. I had a mixed crowd, and I asked for everyone's input. Seating - not busy (early dinner) with tables & booths. Seated fairly quick. Dining area with a bar area, a little messy with walls/floorboards kind of grungy. Our first waitress (seemed new) seemed to be figuring out what do. The second waitress was not very personable. Overall, the service was not great. Super hot day, and during the whole meal from start to finish, we were offered one refill of water. They seemed overwhelmed, maybe phone orders? as the dining area was not crowded. Two of our plates had to be exchanged as they were dirty. It happens, so it's not a big deal. We ordered two appetizers - pretty basic flavor, not great, but not terrible.We ordered several entrées, they were the best part of our visit. The only issue was that we were given one wrong entrée, when we brought it to our Waitress attention, it became awkward. We had been waiting awhile, so instead of saying no problem, it became kind of a silence game. My wife was frustrated and said, "Just leave it and cancel the other one. The dish was fried chicken stripes, which were dry, which only added to the frustration. Heart-shaped rice was nice, and the main dishes were pretty decent with nice presentations. Prices were decent We may have visited at a bad time or an off time as other reviews were good, which is why my wife chose this spot. Needless to say, most of the party was not impressed. Wish I could say different.

Flavor of food is really good. Portions are a bit small, especially for the price.Thai Basil w/shrimp, $13.95 not bad, until you get your portion. I've had larger portions else where for the same price. Picture attached, you can be the judge.But other then that, really good food.Service is Avg, Ambiance is Avg.

The duck was gooder than a mf. I would definitely return to try other items on their menu. I would recommend remodeling but the best food typically comes from run down restaurants. I believe the appearance may deter some customers but, the food is undeniable.

It was ok. Prices are decent. Food was hit or miss. Pad Thai was only ok. Oddly, it was missing peanuts and scallions. Seemed overly sweet. Atmosphere is fair. Service was good. 3 stars. Still the best Thai restaurant in town is Tara Thai, which blows Lanna away.

Food is always amazing. Have been coming here with my girlfriend for almost 4 years now. Started going while we were students at William & Mary and have loved it since. We got the steamed dumplings (no pictured), I got the pad ped spicy old man with chicken, she got the pad see ew with chicken. Both loved it with plenty of chicken in proportion to the noodles/rice/veggies, and full of amazing flavor. Lanna Thai never disappoints and this time was no different. Their spice levels are solid and the 4/5 spicy was the perfect level for me (I like it hot). I also like that they serve the rice in a heart shape. The restaurant is a bit on the small size, but we only had to wait about 10 mins on a busy Saturday night. Would recommend to anyone who likes Thai food, or anyone in general. Bonus points if you get meadows for dessert after :)

I have enjoyed getting takeout from this place since we moved here (my dad is active duty military). But after tonight, unfortunately we will not be ordering from here anymore. My dad has been sick with Covid for the past week. He finally started to get his sense of taste back and decided he wanted the yellow curry from here because it always makes him feel better, and has been a wonderful comfort food. We picked up the food and brought it home. When we got home, we realized 2 out of 4 of our orders were messed up. I had ordered Pad See Ew, but received Drunken Noodles. My dad ordered the yellow curry with beef. They gave him yellow curry with chicken instead, and no white rice. I was happy to eat the drunken noodles, but my dad didn't have his rice, which is basically half his meal (since he ordered the yellow curry). We called the restaurant and explained the situation. Before we even proposed a solution, the employee on the phone interrupted and said "We don't do delivery or refunds. You're welcome to drive back here and pickup some rice." We spent around $100 on this meal. My dad has been sick as a dog and just wanted something he could finally taste. For the staff to not offer any consolation at all, aside from having us drive all the way across town to pickup the missing item, was unbelievable. Not to mention the employee gave no reconciliation for my order being entirely wrong. If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would. We will not be returning, and I caution anyone who reads this about their lack of professionalism and customer service. *Note: the photo shows our receipt with yellow curry with beef and white rice clearly shown on it. You can see the white chicken in the curry instead of beef, and lack of white rice.

The Crispy chicken pad thai is my favorite! The crab rangoon's and potstickers are also amazing, prices are good too for the amount of food you get!
