This place looks like an authentic local Mexican store, it is definitely a small business. Which im always willing to support. I was expecting local or homemade meats and tortillas, fresh veggies, but really is just full of everything Goya that every grocery store has. I wish there was something special or unique about this store.

Ever since I was little I remember my mom taking me here for all of her Spanish ingredients. We still, to this day, come here for random little things. A lot of the grocery stores are starting to carry a lot of these same items and most times a little cheaper. But what keeps us coming here would have to be their pastries! My favorite being the one with guava inside! At only $1 it'll definitely keep me coming back. It's also nice just to have that Spanish feel as soon as you step in. You cannot get that at a regular grocery store. Another plus about this place is the cooking ware! Most Spanish food is made in a particular pot. Whenever I see this I instantly know it's for the Spanish foods my mom cooks. Definitely stop in to take a look at what they carry, you'll be happy with a lot of their single serve Spanish drinks, such as a cold Malta, and also snacks like the plantain chips, one of my favorites.

This is a place that brings back many memories from when I was growing up. I grew up in Philadelphia where every corner had a store just like this. It sold a little bit of everything and it catered to its community. This store has a good selection of Spanish products from Latin America and the Caribbean. It has been in this location for many many years since it's been there since I relocated here in 1991. My only issue is the prices on some of the products. I understand that it's an independent retailer as opposed to a chain however I won't purchase certain items there. It's still an amazing establishment and if you have a hard time finding that certain ingredient to finish your recipe, this is your place to go.

I have no idea where I have been! I feel like I have been living under a rock. I can't believe I didn't know this place existed until today. I went to a store next to this one and when I saw the name of this store I was like; no, it can't be. Oh my gosh it is!!!! How in the world did I not know about this hidden gem!?! As soon as I walked in I felt like a kid in a candy store. They have all my childhood favorites. Malta India, Cola Champagne, galletas Rica, Export Sodas, and the best part was . . . Cafe Yaucono!!!!! I felt like I was going down to the bodega. Really clean store and friendly service that is sure to put a smile on your face. I will definitely become a regular customer here.

It's hard to find traditional food from Dominican Republic. And La Tienda has a lot to offer. I travel over 30 miles just to get a few groceries from this location.
