I really wanted to be okay with this hotel and even gave it a second chance.I've been in Virginia about a week per month for the past few months and when I stayed here initially I wasn't happy but was told they were renovating.None of the ice machines worked, the hotel was dirty, and the doors to the rooms have a gap that you could look right under.I tried not to say anything because the staff was so nice and to my understanding they were in a transition.I stayed again the next time I was in town and the same experiences except there were roaches, dirty sheets, poop splattered in the toilet, and just all the way around gross so I switched hotels.I also did not receive my Wyndham points from the stay there.

The price was pretty good for the end of summer; parking was a bit tricky, with the exit against another building blocked off, so it's an exit right after an exit. However, there is plenty of parking. The room is a standard hotel, though it smelled odd when we first entered. I could not tell if it was mildew or cleaner. The bathroom is tiny, and our bath continues to run water no matter how much you turn the knob (pictures included). It is 17 miles from the beach and has a straight shot, so that was nice. The pool closes at 10 pm with a maximum of 12 people; it's open and great if you don't want to drive to the beach again. Attached to the home is a Mexican restaurant, so one can drink and walk on over if they wish. The breakfast isn't to die for, but it will work. They offer waffles, coffee, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and some pastries, plus it's free with the room.

Sadly differently not the best place to stay. The whole greenbrier area was booked for 8-18-23 we stoped at 12 plus hotels. SO we called La Quinta and thankfully they had two rooms available. We we went to ask to book one and the front dest hung up on us. We had to pay 1,300 for 4 nights it absolutely not worth it. But it was too late and after we paid and stayed for one night and got the view of everything.WE were coming from Texas it was 1am we were desperate. Our couch was ripped ,part of the wall was ripped, the celling was cracked and looked to be fixed multiple times, and its right beside the highway you hear all the cars all night. Also the pool doesn't have an actual key slider. We watched people from another neighborhood walk over and walk right into the pool. The bathroom was so small being tall wouldn't be good for where the toilet and door are located. The shower head wasn't able to move not being tall enough it was just shooting the wall. The room was a great size and the A/C did work great. But they took all the lights out of the living room area except for one so it was extremely dim unless you opened the curtains.Overall extremely disappointing and now knowing how busy the area is one the weekends options are limited.

Cons: First impression: most run down of the hotels nearby. Dirty parking lot, trash. Check in was easy. I believe it was an additional $20 for 1 dog. After parking and heading in, the smell was kind of a wet/musty carpet smell through the halls. Once we got to our room on the second floor, there was a different odor. The water was brown at first, like when water sits in pipes for a while. When getting ready for bed, I was looking for an outlet behind the nightstand between the two beds and there was some really nasty brown crusty stuff on the floor. The pillows were thin and crunchy. Pros: Free early check in.

Truly the worst hotel experience of my life. TV doesn't work, on our 7th set of room keys, tub doesn't drain, broken clothes rack and nasty flooring in the hallways. After my husband telling the front desk lady about the keys and the TV, her response was "what do you want me to do and if we didn't like it, we should check out". We were reward members but I doubt we will ever stay at a LaQuinta nor Wyndham property again. So disappointedThe Hunts210-827-1358

The floor was wet. Which would only be a minor issue if the upper floors weren't CARPET. As a result, it smelled like mold/mildew. Also, despite this being an entirely non-smoking hotel, it still smelled like cigarettes inside. If you have breathing issues that this might trigger, I don't recommend going. There was major construction next door, and it partially blocked the driveway, and one entrance to the parking lot. Parking was an issue, with a small parking lot and unassigned spots. Our room didn't look clean when we checked in. There was mold in the corner of the bathtub, dirt on the floor of the bathroom, and a child's binky on the floor. The vent in the bathroom was dislodged from the ceiling, and the staff was aware as it had been bolted in place, instead of popped back in. Half way through our stay the light over the sink burned out.As for toiletries, as we only got a small bottle of shampoo and two bars of soap for 3 people (we booked for 4, for 7 nights). Our room keys had to be exchanged almost every day, and we were there for a week. The hotel isn't very secure, as the lock at the hotel entrance (by the pool) is broken. The pool was pretty nice, except it did not smell like chlorine AT ALL. There was shelves for towels near the pool exit, but no towels. The wifi was unlocked, which meant everyone walking by the hotel was taking advantage of it. As a result, the wifi was slower than using data. You shouldn't rely on your tv for Netflix/streaming, because it stopped working after the first day at the hotel.Breakfast was disappointing. There were about 3 muffins and 6 little bowls of cereal, granted we didn't come until about 2 hours after the start of it. We went to Denny's, which was walking distance. There was only really one redeeming quality (the reason it gets 2 stars), was the hotel cat. The hotel is pet friendly, and there is a stray cat that the hotel has put out bowls for. Sadly he doesn't have a collar with a name. We called him Mr. Quinta. (The staff was also pretty nice, and the vending machines were pretty cheap, but Mr. Quinta made us look forward to coming back to the hotel.)TL;DR: Desperate need for maintenance, mold, dirty room, weak wifi, no streaming, pet friendly, cute cat. Only recommend for those desperate for a pet friendly hotel.

Very old, not up to date. Stayed because of price. Floors in horrible shape. Duct tape all over near elevator, holes in curtains. Just not what I expected as I stayed in another LaQuinta in Durham. That one was extra nice. Staff here extremely nice.

BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS I stayed here a few nights ago and I am now completely covered in bed begs from a room on the 1st floor. After trying to get a refund from this place, I was offered a 15% off coupon for my next visit. Absolutely insane. I am now at a laundromat washing all of my clothes and suitcases while simultaneously trying not to scratch the 100s of bed bug bites. Don't stay here.

Iffy service and they can't do much as they allow pets but not horrible. Definitely get fussy when asking for your room to be serviced after 6 days.

I won't give this hotel the energy of complete sentences. The following are the reasons I will NEVER stay here again:-sopping wet carpet in the corridors-box fans in the halls to facilitate drying the carpet.-damp hotel room...the floors, the bed linens, even the tissues in the tissue box-grit on the hotel room floors and in one of two beds.-front desk associate did not offer any solutions after we had driven for hours to get here.IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! I AM GETTING A REFUND. ...and no, I don't want a free night in another LaQuinya Inn.
