Knotts Island Market

Knotts Island Market is located on Knotts Island in Knotts Island, NC. This area is accessible by the Knotts Island-Currituck Ferry or coming in from Virginia along Route 615. In Virginia, the road is Princess Anne Rd. and changes to Knotts Island Rd. when you enter North Carolina. My visit here was on May 2, 2024.I haven't been down to Knotts Island in quite a while. My neighbor gave me the idea to come down here to get gas for the lawn mower as they sell pure gas (non-ethanol). Coming down from Virginia Beach, it does take some time, but I am glad I came down here.When I first came up to the place, I could tell it looked more like an "old school" gas station. It felt like a bit of history. When I came inside, I was surprised that it was more than a gas station or convenience store. There is a limited supply of this gas, so there is a limit to how much you can get. You will have to pay for gas inside. The attendant inside will hold your credit/debit card while you get the gas and then will charge the actual amount at that time. Gas is available on a first come, first serve basis, so be sure to contact the store ahead of time to ensure gas is available.The area is pretty quiet, so there isn't much to choose from, but there is a lot of natural beauty around. This store looks to be more of a general store and grocery store as you can get fresh produce, etc. Think of this place as an elevated convenience store with much more options than a typical convenience store.Overall, my experience was great here. I'm glad my neighbor told me about this place, and I will look to do this in the future as well. I love the small town vibe to the place. If you are in this area, this place is worth checking out, whether it is for gas or other general items. This is the prime example of supporting a local business.

Knotts Island Market providing a great selection of consumer needed products. Fresh produce, on-premises meat cutter, canned, boxed and frozen foods. Beer and wine. Special note, gasoline sold at this location is "Ethanol Free." Opens a 5:30 am till 9:30, 7 days a week. Fresh prepared Deli foods, Pizza, Subs, salads. A veteran owned business worth visiting.

This is a great little market pretty much out in the middle of nowhere. They had just about everything we needed for our vacation from food to automotive stuff to beer and wine. We had been told their prices were high, but we didn't really think they were. Great little market. I'm sure the locals love it.

Ok so this place is the closest grocery to where I live, and like most small stores you will pay for convienance, however they do really have a great selection of meats, groceries, etc. one notable thing is their pizza. The pizza here is really solid and tastes delicious!! Its much better than driving 25 minutes to red mill for stuff!

Amazing sammiches. The chicken salad is out of this world. The entire Team at the Market are just great. I believe her name is Judy made incredible sammiches - over and over - we call and ask if Judy is in Deli - lol. The store is cute and is everything Knotts Island is about.

This market was recommended by a local and we stopped in during a bike trip for lunch. Freindly service and awesome subs. They also sell fresh fruits and vegetables and other typical grocery items. Also gas. This business is a central part of the community. Even if prices are a few nickels mor than the dollar general next door it should be the preferred place to shop
