Kitty Hawk Kites - Virginia Beach

They have moved from 320 to this wonderful new location. It seems bigger and brighter inside the new location. Still that same wonderful friendly vibe and so colorful with the ceiling full of big gorgeous kites. We have been buying kites from Kitty Hawk from the original store in North Carolina for years and years. The BEST kites in NC and Virginia. They have a ton of clothes, shoes, hats, and accessories. They also carry Yeti products. They sell tons of really fun, funky, fantastic toys. This store is packed with all kinds of stuff. I bet you could go every day for a week and still not see everything. I really like how they have everything displayed and I like how they have the store set up with the big shoe area. They have really great shoes. Oh yeah they have spinning yard displays. So many cool colorful wind socks and spinning yard items. They have so much cool stuff I can't get it all in one review. You will have to go check it out for yourself

We love Kitty Hawk Kites! We are visiting from out of town and we were very happy when we were looking for a kite in Virginia Beach and found out they had this awesome kite shop. Last time we visited we bought kites in North Carolina at Kitty Hawk Kites, lovely lady behind the counter suggested a foil kite , our plan was to let our 10 year old grandson fly this kite at the hotel beach, this kite flys best in 6-25 mph wind. Super easy to pack around because it comes in its own little bag for storage. We took it out and attached the provided kite line, let out about 10 feet of string and "bam" we were having fun on the beach, our grandson loved this kite and it looked cool in the air. Wonderful folks to deal with in the store, for a ton of fun I highly recommend

I've stopped in here twice now while having brunch at the beach and shopping at 30-31st Streets at the Hilton area. This shop has tons of little items inside. Kites and yard wind decor. They have the small little yard decorative flags and poles too. Lots of beach-themed goodies. They also have t-shirts, candy, jewelry, toys, whatever. It shares a wall and has a throughway to a Life is Good store with sandals and Life is Good items all in it. It does take a minute to get checked out - like it's just slow - but not really terrible - at least not for me. Kites are really cute if you're looking for some to fly at the beach! Lots of other shopping and dining around.

Cute place. Everything you want, nothing that you need. Lots of kites and "Life is Good" items. There are sandals and trinkets too. I bought my first Alex and Ani bracelet there tonight. I know, I'm behind the times. I walked in 15 minutes before closing and the staff wasn't annoyed by this one bit. They were so friendly and talkative. I'm definitely going back when there is more time to shop. There was a home decor section I need to further inspect.

Although the selection is fantastic the store is so poorly run that it can take 30 minutes to check out either the systems are failing or the employees are not being trained on the system properly but I Have been three times to the store and all three times the delay to get out of there was ridiculous

This place was great. Great selection beach goers stuf and LOTS of cool kites. Jerry was the lady that helped me out and she new her stuff. Sold me a great kite and can't wait for some wind to try it out. Stop I. And check me out. You'll be glad you did. Nate.

Came in excited to buy some clothes & left pissed. The one borderline bald old man was already watching us like a hawk when we'd barely walked in the front door. We didn't pay too much mind until we realized he was following us as well & thats when it hit us, this old guy is a racist. Before anyone thinks we are being extra, we were the only poc in the store & he didn't greet us when we came in but he greeted the people after us. he was also very passive aggressive in the way he spoke to us when we had heard him with the other customers & he sounded completely different with them. I normally don't write reviews but this was such a horrible experience I could not just ignore it.
