This is a cooks dream store. I could spend hours in here looking at everything. So...many....items...... Ladies....be careful with big purses on your shoulder. They have everything you could possibly imagine. Lots of Le Creusets, kitchen gadgets, dishes, bowls, kitchen towels...the list goes on and on and on. The ladies are so helpful and kind. They even have cooking classes all the way in the back of the store. It is a little pricy though. Not a place I would shop often but I would definitely window shop or go for a hard to find item. If you like to cook or bake or know someone that does, definitely check out this store. I know I will be back.

Kiddo and I went out for brunch today and with the store being so close by as usual I found myself window shopping here. The thing I like about this place, in the back of the store, they actually have cooking classes. So Mini me and I signed up for their knife using class. Being a home cook, learning proper knife skills is very important, also proper cleaning of kitchen knives is useful. And this is what the class is about. I really wanted to sign up for other classes, but let's face it, the other 3 classes just didn't hit it with me. Sushi class, beef Wellington, finally another fish cooking class. Nah, it's just not my cup of tea. With this class, kiddo will have to be away from me. The reason being is that she is a lefty while I use my right hand. With her being left handed, watching her with sharp objects just gives me an anxiety attach! Another impressive thing about The Kitchen Barn, everything is made in America. Now that is something that I can support. Also, they showed me wooden products that were made from Floyd, Virginia. Yes, Floyd is in the mountains of Virginia. But as a consumer, I really do enjoy supporting local or American made as much as possible. Although you pay more here. It's worth supporting our local economy as much as possible. So Woo Hoo!

If you're looking to get kitchen supplies from people who discriminate against you for no reason and are very rude, this is your place to go! They will gaurd you at the bathroom door and whisper in front of other customers about how they think you're stealing. Even when you gave no signs of stealing as 1. You just walked in the store, 2. The mini backpack never came off your back and 3. If they had surveillance cameras they'd be able to look back and see I was checking prices before putting products back on the shelves. Also, the employees won't lock the bathroom door and then proceed to invite you in with them. Pedophile vibes if you ask me. Having never been here, I assumed I was being invited in as it may have stalls and I didn't realize. Nope! One person bathroom and the employee told me to come in with her. That to me is just creepy. And this employee that invited me in will proceed to talk crap to every employee in the building in front of your friends and other customers saying how you're rude for walking in on them and not knocking. Theres a lock on the door for a reason! My friend who was waiting and browsing overheard the entire conversation of them talking about how I was stealing and the man worker rushed to the bathroom to do God knows what to prevent me from stealing. What am I going to steal? Toilet paper? And they accused me of being in the wrong gender bathroom when I wasn't from the start. The employee really tried to paint me in a terrible light to everybody. As I was walking out with my friend, we hadn't even opened the door yet when they instantly started whispering nasty things about us in front of us. There wasn't even a baracade. Whispering is RUDE, especially when your customers KEEP YOUR BUSINESS ALIVE. I was going to purchase things from your business but since you think I'm such a trash person assumingly, I will never buy from your company.. EVER. I will also let everyone I know, know about how you treat fellow money spenders. You were supposedly going to get a lot of money considering my friend just moved into her own house and needed good kitchen supplies for her culinary husband but you guys are awful. You guys need a lot of Jesus in your life. If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. I work in customer service and know that what all 3 of the employees were saying and doing is wrong. None of them should be working in customer service, it definitely ruined the day of my friend and I. Really hurts to be wrongly accused.

This store was cool. It reminded me of the kitchen store at Stony Point in Richmond, Sur La Table. They had a similar style and similar items. This store is fairly small and was VERY packed full of items. You could walk easily around but it was somewhat cramped and full of stuff. They have knives, cooking items, pots, pans, baking items, cookie and cake decorating items, small basics like salt and pepper shakers and grinders and garlic presses to all kinds of other things. I thought it was pretty cool that they had some sort of cooking class or tasting class going on in the back of the store while I was there. There is a big glass window and you could see everyone eating and drinking some wine while the ladies up front were cooking some items that smelled delicious. That's pretty neat. I didn't ask about it before leaving but I'm sure you can sign up for that in the store or get on a mailing list for it. I saw some really neat stuff and they had about a million cookie cutters in the back, probably every shape or size cookie cutter imaginable.

I love this place. I love how it's an independent business and you can tell immediately by walking in that they love helping customers find the perfect item they need. So many things to choose from that you find thing in there that you never knew existed. ie: microwaveable things for eggs, spice organizer, stuff for the grill, coffee makers. You name it it's there. The brands are also not run of the mill that you can get anywhere. I love their kitchen food scales, especially that they carry escali. And they also sharpen knives which I will probably come back tomorrow!!

This kitchen store is a great alternative to Williams Sonoma. It's a small store, but crammed with all kinds of specialty gadgets. Quality, practical gadgets, more so than high-end items. The only catch is they never seem to be open. They keep scarce hours. Also, I don't think they get a lot of traffic so they sort of hover over you when you are browsing. That drives me crazy.

This is a great family run kitchen store. Their new store is very large and if they don't have it you probably don't need it. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. They have a large demo kitchen in the back for weekly classes and they also do knife sharpening.

I want to love this store and have tried to but it isn't meant to be. Salespeople are friendly and knowledgeable enough but the pricing is stratospheric. Another reviewer called this place "a little pricey ". That doesn't begin to describe it. I've made purchases here a few times in the past and had progressively worsening buyer's remorse when I later learned that I paid substantially more than msrp - even on sale items. I went to the blowout September sale - 25-50% off all items in the store. I was shopping All-Clad, Le Creuset, some knives and other items. All of the items I looked at had been marked up substantially before the sale discount. Examples: one LC pot was marked up 45% above msrp and then reduced by 25%. That same pot can be ordered from LC not on sale right now for less. Another piece was marked 50% off the inflated price. Same piece is available off LC site for $50 less than KB's huge half off priceTL/DR - extreme up pricing removes value and trust. Everything in this store can be easily found anywhere else for less money - sale or not
