I can't believe how strong this place is still going. It's always so bittersweet coming here because I grew up going to Kids' Cove, especially remembering when it was a wooden playground. My family and I don't live in Virginia Beach anymore, but when we do visit our extended family, we make sure to visit Kids' Cove so that we can get our son tired and spend some quality time with family members. I love how they have a variety of slides, things to climb on, padded grounds, and so much more. I will say, despite the amount of kids' things they have here, it gets PACKED so you definitely have to keep an eye on your kid at all times. Other than that, we love this place and will continue to visit it whenever we are in town.

Such a beautiful big park with a gorgeous scenic view. This park has a great variety of playground equipment from rock climbing, big and small slides for different age groups. They have a cute tire swings and a lot of swings for children to enjoy. There is also a tons of space for the kids to run around freely.

I love how this playground has different age zones. Brought my niece and nephew here to help with their energy lol and they love it here. They have an area just for swings, an area with slides and other cool fun kid stuff and another area with rock like structure for kids to climb. What I like the most is that there is benches for us to sit and watch the kids while they go crazy running around.

I've been coming here since I moved here in 1991. It has changed a lot since then but it has only gotten better with time. The playground has changed from a wooden play set to a plastic one. The floors are cushioned which allows for more safety for the children. There is a lot to choose from so you can definitely stay there for at least 45 minutes enjoying it all. There is plenty of parking and shaded shelters. Trash cans and restrooms as well as vending machines can be found in close proximity.

I brought my little one here on a Saturday afternoon. He absolutely loved it. Yes, it was very hot and humid, but there was enough shade for everyone to share. The playground is brightly colored. They have a soft material covering the floor for safety. There were rock walls, slides, music drums, and other age appropriate equipment for the kiddos. There were shelters around where you could have a picnic. I love how it's right next to Mt Trashmore. There's also plenty of parking. I love how this park seems to be so clean. Great park to bring the kiddos!

This is a place that I really love and come to so often that I was surprised to learn I had yet to write a review. You get two parks rolled into one and you can't beat that.If your looking for the BEST playground complex in Virginia Beach look no further. My family has enjoyed the park for around 10 years. The new "Kids Cove" is less than three years old. The old wooden playground was located adjacent to it and fell in such disrepair the city graced us with the best playground in Virginia Beach. The park is located within the Mt Trashmore complex, close to Town Center. The gravel lot is plenty big enough with more parking off to the side. Of course even more parking at Trashmore, but it wont be necessary. I almost always find minor debris in the lot, but this place is always busy and I am excusing it to some degree. There are exterior trash cans, some use them people. The complex is quite expansive, but is contained. However, it is not walled off and you will need to supervise your children closely if there is a big crowd which is always. It's amazing how much equipment is offered for children up to age 12. There is also an area for smaller children to enjoy. Expect one weekends a mob, I never go on weekends. If you go on weekdays mornings just before noon it's usually a great time. With the YMCA so close all bets are off in the Summer with kids camps that are brought over. With Yelp's new video feature I did take film that provides a great idea of what the playground equipment is like. The floor has the new cushy rubber matting that is awesome. The playground area usually has some degree of litter, but usually minor. Trash cans are all around the perimeter. One of the really nice features of the park is four shelters right off the playground. They are not huge, but all new and have a two picnic tables that can easily a hold a group of 12, max of 15. Our family uses them often with grabbing something from a nearby restaurant and making a picnic. The building that houses the restroom is the same as the one that housed the old structure. It could be better, but most often is kept clean It is just outside the main entrance, so I do recommend parents accompany and be on the safe side always.Kids Cove is a superb place for families. I have found it to be safe, most often clean and always a fun time to exercise and even feed the youngsters. If time allows, which it never seems to for us, then hit Mt. Trashmore up too.

I can see this playground from the interstate. I have a 19 month son and had so much energy that I can't ever to keep up. Even if you have an older kid this place is perfect for any age. When I say this park had something for all ages... They really do! There is a bike path, running path, you can climb mount trashmore, there is a skate park, and a half pipe, there is also picnic areas. I had read they are going to add a water area as well for children. The playground is very large. It's suited for children probably age ten it below. They have vending machines, clean bathrooms, water fountains, etc.I absolutely love this park.

Soft cushy flooring!!! Bright colored equipment, A BIG playground with a lot of things to sit or slide on, twirl, spin, swing and climb on. I wish I was a kid again!! This would be where I would want to go. Everything is plastic I'm sure things get a little warm depending on the temperature. You have decide to let your kids play and be independent or spend a lot of time following them all over the playground. You can't see them on the whole park if you sit down. Free time to yourself if you can bring yourself to let that happen. 4 close park shelters within the playground area. I could see this being a great place for a birthday party or reunion with a lot of children.

Super fun playground! Lots to do for kids of all sizes and ages. The big hills of Mt Trashmore right behind are great for running and rolling, as well!
