Kephi Greek Kitchen

Wasn't up for an entree, so shamelessly planned my meals around dessert. It's casual dining but not the diner experience like some of the Greek places I have gone to in the past. Tasteful decor and attentive service. Not enough pictures, but we had saganaki and avgolemono soup. ...like I said my focus was on the dessert. I opted for a toffee, caramel, peanut, chocolate mousse thing-pictured.Great experience overall.

Kephi is a wonderful authentic Greek spot with personal touches that make you feel like you're in a cozy restaurant no matter how busy they are. We've been here multiple times and each time was amazing. Most recently we had traditional gyros for lunch and shared a traditional dessert from the extensive dessert case. The meat in our gyros was tender and the tzatziki was thick and not runny. We love coming here, the food is amazing and as long the restaurant isn't packed the service is good.

Was visiting from out of Town and my wife suggested Greek food for dinner. Arrived around 6pm and was seated immediately in an almost full dining room. Our waitress, Gizem, brought us water quickly and introduced herself. As the menu has authentic dishes I had some questions which Gizen answered before ordering. My wife ordered her usual gyro sandwich which came pretty good size. She was surprised the meat did not appear to come from a usual lamb/beef spit. I ordered a dish named patichio which is layered crumbled beef, penne noodle and a custard topping and then baked. I did not enjoy my meal. I wish there would have been a little more beef and less custard topping.Our service was good, atmosphere was nice, staff are friendly. Upon entry there are displays of Greek oils, sauces and such for sale as well as a nice display of desserts. We grabbed a couple desserts to take back to our hotel and a gallon of imported olive oil for home. There is sufficient on-site parking.If in area again this could be another stop.

This review is closer to 3.5 stars than 3! My in laws took my partner and I here for dinner and overall I was satisfied with the experience. The service was very attentive and prompt. I really liked the inside of the restaurant, it was clean and more upscale than other eateries in the immediate area. The food is the only reason I deducted 1.5 stars, it was straight but I've had way better grilled octopus in other places. I had high expectations because Greece is supposed to be the land of grilled octopus but this place just missed the mark. The AVGOLEMONO soup was the star of the show! It was very tasty and I highly recommend

Ate here again and sadly this place really missed the mark. Decided to try the gyro again, that maybe the first time was an off-night. Meat still not good or flavorful. I think being a Greek restaurant you should be able to do decent gyro meat. Hostess was rude, and then ended up giving us the specials menu from the night before. Why would you still have those out on the hostess stand? The worst past is that two of our guests ordered them and was not informed by our waitress that they didn't have those specials that evening till almost a half hour after we had ordered. Bad service. Really the only redeeming quality was the Oreo cake slice from the evening.

I hosted a dozen ladies at our monthly gathering where we gather to talk and "break bread."We all had a fabulous time and more importantly were able to get separate checks! The area was clean and so well decorated with Greek desserts and a panel of discreet beads used to separate the room we were in from the main dining room. Jeanine was our server and she was so patient and accommodating. I was so impressed that I forgot to ask her to take a photo of all of us. I only took a photo of the partially eaten Saganiki which was so delicious that I questioned why any previous yelper would have thought it was too hard because mine was perfect! It was served flaming as well! I also ordered the Solomos or Salmon and that was perfect!

First time there. Just had a gyro which was very good. I'll definitely go back as the menu and wine options are extensive. Great service and a surprisingly very nice ambiance (that I normally don't expect on Richmond Rd places). The dessert options also looked great, which I'll definitely try next time.

This is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in Williamsburg shopping and visiting family. Today, the olfood was amazing as always, but the feeling of being segregated outshined all of that. We were greeted friendly, but we walked past everyone else dining and set in a section I had never sat in before. I thought nothing of it until I noticed everyone else that entered the establishment was sat in the main area and we were the only table of melanin in the entire establishment and we were the only people sitting in that area with no one else being sat there. See the 8mages attached. This soured my love and affection for what I once held as my favorite Greek establishment in this area. For this, one star because this is something that should not be happening.

This was my first time at Kephi, my parents recommended it. This service was really great, we were sat quickly and the waiter was on top of everything. The restaurant was clean, a good amount of seating, and I really enjoyed the choice of music. The food was outstanding. We started off with the tzatziki and pita, which you could tell was fresh/homemade. I could honestly eat a bucket of this. My entree was the Kephi Chicken Gyro, it was phenomenal. My dad got the Kephi Gyro (not pictured) and I tried a piece of the lamb/beef which was really good as well. Can't go wrong with either one, in my opinion. I would 100% come back!

It was a lucky coincidence that we discovered Kephi right across from our hotel because it was the best Greek food we've ever had! Lots of dishes that I had never tried before since most of the Greek restaurants near me are more the street food type, so I wanted to try the Kephi Tria with their meatballs, sausage, and spanakopita and they were all fantastic! My gyro fillings were generous and perfectly made (and proportioned, an important aspect in my opinion), and we also had the pasticchio which surprised me since I thought it would be more like lasagna with bechamel instead of tomato sauce from the description but it was much more flavorful and savory.The desserts were all delicious as well, my favorite being the orange cake which was incredibly moist with a fantastic orange flavor but the galaktoboureko and kataifi were both delicious as well in their own different ways, the galaktoboureko creamy and subtle and the kataifi sweet and nutty with a light and crispy texture. Looking forward to coming back!
