All.....the....stars!!! What an absolute must try if you like wine, cheese and good service. Looking for a hostess gift? Stop here. Housewarming? Stop here. Meeting a friend for a glass of wine? Stop here. This little gem checks all the boxes. Service was wonderful!! We ordered 2 glasses of Pinot and the most beautiful charcuterie board I have ever seen....and I have seen a lot! While waiting we walked around the cute shop and they have a little bit of everything. Need some spices....they got them. Try a new olive oil. Yup. Cute little gifts for the foodie in your life. Jams, dips, cheese straws, crackers and Whatchamacalits. If I lived closer I would be here all the time but I am looking forward to coming back. We got the 3 item charcuterie and it came with so much more than what I was expecting. Absolutely delicious.

What a cute specialty market! While on my tour of Gloucester my friend said we had to go to main street for Kelswick Market. I wasn't sure what to expect but this literally is a one stop shop! The music was inviting as you look through wine, fresh meat, chocolates, cookies, ice cream, soups, even cooking oils you name it they have it all. I was pleasantly surprised to find some tasty specialty chocolate for $8. They also have a smaller lunch menu you could order off of as well. Although the indoor seating was cute we decided to enjoy the sun and sit outside. This market is on the pricer side but certainly worth a visit.

There is some good stuff in here! Always a nice surprise or two as well. The shop is well stocked with lovely cheeses, snacky bits, homemade salads, and prepared foods. Other things too that a well stocked kitchen would want to have.On this trip, I found some *country* ham salad and house made dill pickle chips that made a wonderful lunch for DH and me.

It's been just over 3 years since my family has left Gloucester and we have yet to find ANYWHERE that comes even close to having everything in one place that Kelsick does. we miss it a lot!

I picked up a few meals for the freezer, meats, coffee, and snacks. The meals are so delicious. The shepherd's pie was better than I've ever made.I wish they were down the street from my home rather than several hours away.

I've been visiting Kelsick for many years when I would visit Mathews. Now that I live here, Kelsick is a favorite location to buy the specialty items I can't find anywhere else. The staff is very helpful and bend over backwards to make sure everything is awesome. We really like that they are a pickup spot for the veggies we get from the Dayspring Farm CSA. IF you're anywhere close to Gloucester, and need some yummies, good beer or wine, or anything else, stop by to see them!

Kelsick Garden recently hosted their second annual oyster tasting in conjunction with the Tidewater Oyster Growers Association. It was a great event! But, I also had a chance to go into the store to check out what they did in moving to their new location. I was pleasantly surprised. They have a very nice wine selection and lots of food products that I will be buying for cooking at home (like andoille sausage for gumbo, bison hot dogs from a local bison ranch near Tappahannock, and much more. If you are local, you should stop by and check it out. If you are passing through on Rt 17, it is worth the short detour into the Gloucester Courthouse area. And, if you like oysters, check out the oyster tasting event next November.

This market is a real gem in the community. They prepared my Thanksgiving dinner mainstays, freeing me up to make side dishes. Kelsick prepared the turkey, ham, dressing, and gravy, all of which were great. Cooking the rest of the meal was actually fun. When you go, be sure to include the Shepherd's Pie and Lasagna.
