Kelly's Tavern

I came in for a drink after Christmas shopping. There wasn't a lot of people there so I sat at the bar. The bartender Trevor was on top of it and professional. Kelly's has tv's all over the walls to watch any sport you'd like. The entire place had Christmas decorations but not overly done. Great place to snag a drink after a long day.

I am an events coordinator for FreedomWorks and we just held an event here on Saturday - I had to log on and leave a great review for this place due to the accommodating staff and excellent service. We did not have an easy group but we were very well taken care of and very appreciative of the attentive service and patience with multiple orders and groups. The food our staff ordered we all really enjoyed, my boss has dietary restrictions and was well accommodated. 10/10 experience and we all left happy with how the event went! I loved the fish tacos!

this place is the place i forget about, then eat here again and think- i should come here more often....repeat cycle. AWESOME happy hour specials with the biggest nachos around!! Service is fast and friendly. they aren't in your way. nice kids menu. HUGE nachos that they managed to get the chip to topping ratio pretty much spot on. my kid liked that plain burger with fries. it's not the kinda bar that will attract hipsters. NO. but good for those familiar brews that don't cost a ton. chill customer base. AND TAPPER!! Bring quarters for video games.

Friendly staff, and good burgers!! Not much of an Irish tavern ambiance but still a great place to grab a bite and a cold beer!

I went here with my family.It was awesome!Danielle was our server, and she was great! if the owner sees this, she deserves all of the praise. She was perfectly attentive, she checked up on us just the right amount, and was delightful. Thanks for such a great time!The food itself came out piping hot and fresh. We had wings, cheese curds, and fish tacos. Everything was delicious. Our cups of water were never empty, and we did not have to flag anyone down for seconds or for refills.Of note, curds are especially delightful and perfectly fried.This is a classic tavern/ bar experience. Great time.

This place really isn't bad, the staff makes up for the outdated decor. The food is good and the drinks are decent.

Went to dinner with wife and another couple. Three of them had burgers which were WELL done!I had the Philly Chesesteak and it was dry and did not have much cheese on it! The pickle was room temp and I prefer them ice cold.The onion rings were greasy and some were overcooked! I have had better meals at this place in the past.They removed the glass partition on one side of the bar and the noise from the bar during football is unbearable. We moved to the other side of the bar where the glass is still in place.It was much quieter on the side with the glass partition! This place needs to step up on the food quality!

I picked up carry out corned beef and cabbage. It was awful. The corned beef was dried out and very tough. The potatoes and cabbage were OK, but under seasoned. They had apparently nuked the food to warm it up, because the roll was like concrete. Someone needs to give their cook some training. Won't be going back. I've not eaten inside the restaurant, so I can't comment on the service or atmosphere.

The food and entertainment at Kelly's in Kempsville was outstanding, so a few days later decided to order one of the sandwiches we had there to go from the Haygood location which is closer to our house. It was a reuben where the meat was 90% fat and minimal fries. It was not edible. They should be embarrassed & need lessons from the Kempsville location.

We had a wonderful experience at the Kelly's tavern. In Chesapeake, our server was Adrienne S. and she was superb. Our food was excellent and the service was outstanding
