Bottom Line: Lots of locally made art in a variety of mediums and friendly employees.I am so glad that I learned about KDH Cooperative this summer. I was able to make two trips to the gallery and I made purchases both times. I really enjoyed looking at the variety of locally made art. In the end, I proudly purchased several pieces of pottery from different potters, two photographs from different photographers and a greeting card with a watercolor print on the front. I am most excited about a framed photograph of the iconic Sea Foam hotel from photographer Cyndi Goetcheus Sarfan. Aside from the aforementioned items, the store has various types of paintings, jewelry, sculptures, glass, candles and mixed media art. The employees, who I believe are local artists themselves, were very friendly.

This place has a shiny horse sculpture outside so you can't miss it. It's great, has 50+ artists featured. There was one piece I fell in love with as soon as I saw it. A large plank from a shipwreck on Hatteras beach with glass jellyfish made from recycled glass! So gorgeous! And ofcourse one of the most expensive items in the shop!

Beautiful gallery with such a wide selection of art, housewares and jewelry. Great range of prices, plenty of art that is traditional to OBX as well as lots of unexpected pieces... And the smell- oh the smell. It's heavenly. Fresh local lavender soap! Really hard to leave without a few pieces of seaglass jewelry or mosaic house numbers. REALLY HARD.Will return.

Local art and gifts at its purest form of synergy can be found here at KDH Coop. I've been coming here for years and every time I walk from room to room discovering new treasures. My family, long-time residents of the town of Kill Devil Hills, come in here for gifts, browsing, and to take in art made from the islands. Located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, just south of the monument, this is an artist operated gallery featuring works of art in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, photography, ceramics, jewelry, fibers, collage, wood, pottery, glass, mosaic, and metal, and much more. They have numerous local artists who assist in running the gallery, hanging and displaying art, organizing shows, assist customers, and occasionally teach classes. Feel free to chat up whichever artist is on duty. They'll share their passions and their stories with you. The mission of KDH Coop is to promote and feature local artists of the Outer Banks and they do it so well. Please stop in and support art from those who make up and love the Outer Banks.

This place is so Lively and all authentic. Local artists rock! My family has been coming to the OBX for 20 years, and 4 years ago my now husband and I took a metal smithing class with a vibrant gentleman who really encourages you to get into the spirit of the craft! John and I felt like we got a great grasp of the concepts and had such a fun time. We ended up gifting our lovely his and hers hooks for a friend's Wedding and they thought it was just so cool!!! Looking forward to this years adventure... Makes a family reunion of 30+ just about doable!!
