We visited this charming beach brunch spot on a busy Saturday morning and had a wonderful experience. Despite the crowd, we were seated right away, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff was incredibly friendly and sweet, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The menu offers a great balance of classic breakfast dishes and healthy options, such as oatmeal and egg white omelettes, catering to a variety of tastes. One of the highlights for me was the well-crafted mimosas, which came in a delightful variety of flavors--perfect for a leisurely morning by the beach. There's also a coffee bar where you can grab a cup of freshly brewed coffee, which is a nice touch. Although the food took a little longer to arrive than expected, it wasn't a big issue given the relaxed atmosphere. The quality of the dishes more than made up for the wait. Overall, this spot is an excellent choice for a beachside brunch, whether you're in the mood for indulgence or a lighter, healthier meal. I'd happily return for the friendly service, delicious drinks, and inviting ambiance.

Karla's Beach House is a hidden gem, drive by too fast and you will miss it! This place is amazing at serving up delicious, affordable breakfast and lunch! Their menu features classic comfort food with a twist, all made fresh to order. The portions are generous and the prices are just fine for me. I absolutely love their creative brunch cocktails - the perfect way to start your day. Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast or a boozy brunch, Karla's should be on your list. It isn't the biggest restaurant, but the service is still top notch. Can't wait to visit again.

This quaint beach house restaurant is quite adorable. The older ladies greeting and waitressing were sweet and as welcoming as can be. The menu was of moderate size and had some interesting non traditional brunch items. I had very high expectations given the online rating.BUT, those expectations were not met! In fact, they went downhill quickly. The food had absolutely no seasoning within it....all of the little bit of seasoning was on top. And it was basic at best...a dash of salt and a splash of pepper. My dining companion had the shrimp and grits that came with 4 shrimp and I had the salmon and eggs (without the eggs) with grits and home fries with peppers, tomatoes, onions and mushrooms added. The home fries...I made up the dish and ask them to make it...it wasn't in the menu. It was the very best part of my meal in addition to the Bloody Mary.To sum it up, the food was very bland....not worth it. But the Bloody Mary was certainly above average!

I visited Karla's Beach House for the first time, joining friends for breakfast on a Sunday morning, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. It gets busy, so I recommend arriving early to avoid the crowd. We met at 9:30 AM, and it was already full inside, with people waiting out front for a table. Parking is also limited, so you might need to park across the street, where there is a convenient crosswalk light timed with the stoplight. The menu is extensive, making it challenging to choose. Not because I wasn't hungry, but because of the many options available. Additionally, there is a chalkboard with daily specials that you should check out. I ultimately decided on the Beach House omelet, which includes bacon, ham, sausage, cheese, and home fries topped with sausage gravy. For sides, you can choose from home fries, grits, or fresh fruit, along with a selection of toast options: white, wheat, rye, or a biscuit. I opted for a biscuit. While waiting, you can refill your coffee at the coffee bar, which offers various flavors to enhance your coffee. If you prefer not to use the coffee bar, the server will keep your cup full at the table. Despite the dining room being full, the kitchen only took about 15 minutes to prepare and serve our meals. My meal arrived on a platter and was a generously sized omelet with sides that made for a fantastic breakfast. Everyone at the table joked about needing a nap afterward.Although I didn't take that nap, I will definitely be visiting again soon. If you're looking for a new place for your weekend breakfast, I recommend Karla's Beach House in East Beach. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

Since my name is Karla (with a K), we had to go check Karla's Beach House out. It was cute, the food was good, and we had some good laughs with our waitress. I got to meet Karla, and I even bought a t-shirt! Give it a try.

Stopped by this lovely restaurant this weekend. I was a little worried about seating time because this place can get busy really quickly. Luckily I got here at a good time, and was seated almost immediately. The service was quick and friendly. I honestly would come back for that alone. Every seat on the inside was full of people enjoying their meals. There were table outside too, for summer days or breakfast with your dogs. I ordered the Philly bowl and my husband ordered the chicken and waffles. Let's just say that after our first bites we were hooked. The food was absolutely delicious. We will be back, even if we have to wait in a crowd to be seated. It's definitely worth it.

We visited Karla's around noon on a Thursday. Service was incredibly friendly and overall pretty attentive. They were very busy, but the staff worked as a team to make sure everyone was covered. We did wait around 45 minutes, possibly slightly longer, for our food. Once it arrived everything was delicious and tasted fresh. I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp wrap and it was truly stuffed with large succulent shrimp. The shrimp were not breaded as one might expect (or as is traditional with "bang bang shrimp") but I was ok with that. My mom got a burger and I tried a bite. It was well seasoned and pretty tasty! We ordered the mini corn dogs for my 2 year old, which came with fries (I think there was also a choice of fruit) and it was a great serving size for a $5 kids meal. The servers were all so sweet to him and made sure his lemonade was well stocked. Overall, I'd maybe not return during prime lunch hours with a toddler. But if you're down for a slower paced meal or looking to catch up with a friend and chat a while during your wait, this would be a good spot! There's only a small parking lot behind the restaurant but we did find a street spot right across the way. Note you cannot park in the grassy lot across the street.
