Jumpin Shrimp

Food was decent. Portions are small, but the fried shrimp came with one small scoop of potatoes and one scoop of vegetables. It served the purpose, as I was late to eat.

Well I'm not going to give them a bad or good rating. There were things that gave me the feeling or mixed results, the service , and workers were extremely kind even the Host I had a small talk with and found out he's from Belarus, while getting seated. I was visiting the beach for the first time so i was ready to have beach vibes and good food. Unfortunately the food was not the Best tasting. The Crab legs were very underwhelming and lacked season/flavor the menu says a different crab leg from the one you actually received, and the Alfredo was completely made with cheese the entire dish reeked of cheese I couldn't take more than 3 bites before ask for a box just to be courteous but i didn't actually plan on eating it later. The drinks were $18 for a simple margarita that was a 2/5 on taste as well. Overall if I return to the beach I don't think this will be a stop I will be back for.

Enjoyed our happy hour at Jumpin Shrimp! Outdoor patio was nice and staff provided fans to keep bugs away. Restaurant was clean and played good music. Our waiters was super sweet and answered any questions that we had. Oysters were fresh and the wings were sooo good! & the margaritas were just right!

Traveling to the oceanfront, I was so happy to see that there were restaurants willing to have dining areas where dogs were allowed. We were greeted and brought to our seats quickly. The outdoor seating had a canopy/covering to provide shade. The ocean breeze was cool and refreshing. Service was great. Food was delicious. I recommend the crab dip to start off. I was satisfied with something light to eat like the fish tacos and Parmesan fries. The server was gracious enough to bring a water dish for my pup. We had a great time. Credit card accepted, but with a small merchant fee.

We were so glad to find Jumpin Shrimp on our last night in Virginia Beach. It was about a half mile walk along the boardwalk from our hotel and was such a great find. I had the Baja Shrimp Tacos and they were SO good and had great toppings on them. It was the perfect pre-race meal before my half marathon. They do have inside and outside seating, but the night we went it was pretty cool out so we sat inside. We will be back again for sure when we come back next year!

Thursday 8/3/234:53pmJumpin Shrimp Ocean FrontI decided to try Jumpin Shrimp because they were the restaurant at the hotel I am staying at. They have an average rating. I was waited on in about 2-3 minutes. This was fine because I already scoped out the menu prior to arriving. I ordered a Cobb salad and a cup of She Crab Soup. It's actually a little chilly in Virginia Beach today. The atmosphere is family friendly and they offer outdoor seating as well as indoor. Food arrived quickly. The She Crab Soup is very good w/ plenty of crab in it. the salad is as good with fresh ingredients. Prices were not too bad either. It's a 4 stars for me!! (I Previously rated this restaurant 2 stars) She Crab Soup is consistently good!

Meh. What was I thinking ordering fettuccine alfredo in a place called Jumpin Shrimp. But, hey, if it's on the menu one expects it to be good. Maybe the worst ever. The cream sauce congealed on the sides of the round tin it was served in. There was so much sauce it was like a concrete pour. The sauce was as bland as could be...absolutely no flavor. My wife's shrimp tacos were good. But again, less is more. They were covered in whatever they cover their tacos. They offered a Thai appetizer which was pretty tasty. Maria was our server. Lovely and personable young woman. Tipped her well despite the major disappointment.

Went in for lunch today. They must have re vamped their staff from last year. Everyone was pleasant! Our server was Kimmie. I had the shrimp tacos, my husband had the Caesar salad, and 1/2 lb of steamed shrimps. Everything was very good.

Out visiting and stop by Jumpin Shrimp for a few apps and drinks. We were quickly seated and order taken. Few minutes our waiter took our drink order. We had our drinks and water in no time. After ordering, within 10 minutes our apps started coming out. The fried goat cheese was out of this world, paired with pepper jelly! The lumpia is a must have, possibly some of the best I've ever eaten. The crabs were ok, not super hot and seemed to not be seasoned other than a tad of old bay sprinkled on them. The oyster rockerfellas were good, but for me the bacon overpowered the flavor of the oyster and other toppings. If you need a spot for a drink, an app and a great view of the Ocean. I'd suggest trying this one out!

We had lunch here today ... and it was wonderful!! Our server Ivan was great. He gave us time to look, was attentive and friendly. We had crab cake sandwich, shrimp tacos both with the special fries. Our kids had pasta, chicken and shrimp. Grapes, fries and loaded cheese fries for appetizer ... all great. Our kids range from 4-9 and can be picky. But they all ate wonderfully. The air conditioning was refreshing coming in from the hot summer day. We enjoyed sitting in and relaxing. It was pretty slow too so it was nice and quiet which was also nice. A good atmosphere for us as we were worn out.
