Staff was friendly. Nachos and burgers were OK. My picky child did not like the tenders at all, but loved the shoe string fries. Definitely A local haunt. The entire restaurant had a faint scent (like you can tell people used to smoke In there) but it was clean with OK food. We are just here visiting so it's not a place I'd recommend or come to next time I'm here, but it's was a good stop for lunch.

Casual small restaurant/bar inside the Clarion hotel with a small menu that you would see at any typical "American" restaurant bit the food we tried was very good and we had an excellent waitress. Seeing the mixed reviews we were a little concerned but we had a great experience from our server being extremely helpful with suggestions and making sure we had everything we needed to the food being very good. We tried the following appetizers: Pork Cutlet bites with gravy- it was a special and they were so good. Our waitress had informed us that they bread them in-house and they came out nice and crispy. Loaded potato skins-this is a favorite of my husbands and they did not disappoint. Four large ones came on the plate all full of bacon, cheese, and green onions. Entrees: We both got burgers and she mentioned that they were a good size and they weee. Both came with we had asked and cooked the way we had asked as well. Nice bun as well as we both tried the French fries and onion rings and both were nice and fresh. Particularly liked their onion rings! As of 9/9/2022 they have live bands on Friday nights and karaoke on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

We went on a Saturday at about 4:30 pm. We had the place to ourselves so service was fast and very friendly. I had the Jolene burger and it was fantastic. The burgers are big! And if you like your French fries crunchy this is the place to get them! My ONLY complaint which isn't the restaurant's fault at all is that it smells like a lot of smoking went on in that building for a long time so it does have a very musty cigarette aroma. Otherwise it's a cool little place. A band was setting up for live music tonight but we left before it started.

The four stars for this eatery located inside the Clarion Hotel in Williamsburg is given in spite of a TWO HOUR wait for food. We were warned by the wait staff that the food would take awhile. This was apparently because the hotel had a convention and the restaurant staff were unaware and failed to have more than 3 staff on hand including the chef. The place was doing a brisk take out business of their convention special, $7 chicken bites and fries. We were pretty sure they ran out and had to run out to the closest food store to restock. Shortly after they removed the special from the board. That said, those chicken bites and fries were so good! They had a sort of chik fil a goodness but better. No wonder they sold out. The buffalo dipping sauce seemed "home made" and very tasty.I ordered a Jolene burger cooked medium. It came with grilled onions, bacon, cheddar and jalapeños. It was also so good! Very tasty burger and the cheese was real cheddar not sliced processed cheese slices. The waitress we had thought I got a bit hangry when at the near 2 hour point I said I would take my burger raw or else knaw on my own arm. I thought I was making light of a basically unacceptably loooong wait. Really, this was not a meal prepared by Gordon Ramsay. This was a burger, nuggets and fries in a bar and grill.Total cost for 4 sodas/tea, 3 chicken bites and fries and the burger with fries was $50. No free drinks for the exceedingly atrocious wait. Whatever. I think they felt like warning us it would take awhile was on us at that point. We entered at 1pm, got our food just after 3 pm.On the other hand, the one server and bartender did seem embarrassed about the circumstances and were apologetic, but not enough to comp us our drinks or anything. So I am being generous with this review because the food was really good. Worth the wait? No way. But we felt getting up and going someplace else wasn't going to get us food any faster and truly, we had no idea "awhile" meant 2 hours. We just sat there thinking it couldn't possibly take much longer, until it did take MUCH longer than anyone would have imagined. If I eat there again I will place a to go order early. Then go back and get it. My friends ate there the day before and said it was nothing like our wait.So 4 stars over all. You decide what you would rate a 2 hour wait for a burger.

Food was amazing, service was good. The crowd is obviously regulars, most patrons seemed to know each other and surrounded the bar.

I saw somewhere that Jolene's is considered the only "dive bar" in Williamsburg. I would totally agree, as a compliment! The prices were great and the vibe was welcoming. We didn't go on a night where there was an event or live music, but it was still enjoyable. They get their seafood from Uncle Russ, so you know it's fresh. I had the special fried flounder and it was delicious. Don't expect anything "fancy," but come as you are and you'll enjoy it.

Arrived in Williamsburg yesterday after a five hour drive from PA. Looking for a quick meal and went to YELP to find burgers near the Holiday Inn Resort. The first name to appear was Jolene's Bar & Grill.Checked the pictures of the menu and saw the prices were extremely reasonable. The selection was typical bar pub food with pictures of the bacon wrapped scallops and Ribs. We decided to give it a try, we were anticipating a local dive bar. Followed the directions from Google Maps and drove by the place twice. There was a small sign outside of the Clarion Hotel on Richmond Road. Unfortunately the sign was not lit. We pulled into the parking lot of the Clarion and called the number. Julie answered the phone and told us they were located inside the Clarion. We walked in and found Jolene's and Julie was there to greet us. It was a Tuesday night amid a spike in the Covid Virus. We were the only customers until a local dropped in. Julie welcomed us and gave us the background of Jolene's and how all the food was locally sourced and hand cut. We ordered the Bacon Wrapped Scallops appetizers ($7.95) Four Large Scallops wrapped in crispy bacon and drizzled with a maple reduction and served with melted butter. These scallops were absolutely incredible. They were cooked perfectly. The second appetizer was pepper jack cheese sticks ($7.95). These were freshly breaded and deep fried and melted perfectly. Served with a spicy remoulade sauce. I had the Jolene Burger,($8.50) made from fresh ground beef and topped with Sautéed Onions Jalapeno Peppers and topped with Cheddar cheese that melted over the entire burger. Served on a toasted Kaiser roll with Lettuce, Tomato, and Onion. My wife ordered the Cheddar Chicken Sandwich, ($7.95) which was similar to the Jolene burger minus the Jalapeno and grilled onions. They also had a wide variety of desserts from pies to ice cream sundaes and milkshakes. For a world suffering from this pandemic Jolene's is a true gem for dining. Julie was very helpful and pleasant. The place was clean and felt safe, Highly recommend Jolene's just remember it is INSIDE the Clarion hotel. Take the time to support all small business as local governments try to shut them down.

Unique restaurant located inside the clarion hotel, yet it doesn't appear to be a hotel restaurant. It is more like a community bar and grill. The service was excellent and we never felt rushed and the proper attention was applied. The excellent service was surpassed by the food quality. We had burgers which were cooked to perfection and the taste was a cross between an old diner and a gourmet offering. If you don't know that taste, it is interpreted 'damn good'.This is on our list of places we must dine again.
