Joe's Pizza & Pasta Palace

As a lover of Italian food, and hole in the wall, original family owned restaurants, I can say for sure that I will be returning to Joes. While the ambiance isn't quite what some would hope for in a night out these days (it is not modern whatsoever), this place was right up my alley. I love a business with good bones, and a long history. This place certainly has character. The staff was friendly, and efficient. The food was satisfactory, being from Niagara Falls NY and being Italian myself, I grew up on real, authentic Italian food, so I'm a little picky, and while it certainly does not compare to NY Italian food, this place was probably the best option you can get in the area..I was surprised that the manicotti portion was so small. One thing Italians do right is provide good sized portions, 2 manicotti was a little disappointing, but it did come with garlic knots.The minestrone soup was okay. I was surprised to not find any tomatoes in mine, it seemed to lack flavor and consisted mostly of kidney beans.. I wouldn't order this again. Overall, I wasn't blown away by anything that we ordered, but the prices were good and the busyness of the restaurant and the history that comes with all of the locals hanging around is worth another visit. I will be back, looking forward to trying some more menu items out.

I am not sure why i keep coming here.The services is really bad.They didn't have clam chowder.They brought ought pizza and not the rest of everyones meals, soup and chicken.They should not reach over someone eating to aerve oyheres there meals!They really need to get there shit together!

The food is good I have had the pizza and subs. I normally get the shrimp and scallop meal with linguine. The service is ok and they go through the motions but act like they care less whether you live or die. The restaurant building is old and it is moderately clean.

People can say what they want. This pizza is stinking good and I've eaten a lot of pizza in my life. And compared to other places that try to charge $20 for a large style pizza. It's only 14 and I appreciate that. If you're trying to get pizza, this is the only place anywhere within 20 minutes of Franklin to even consider. Shout out Joe's, you're doing me right...

I know this place is known for its amazing pizza, but honestly I crave their lasagna at least once a month. I could be driving anywhere honestly and once the craving of this amazing dish's hits me I simply have to call in a to go order which also comes with salad and garlic knots. I am in no way trying to downplay all their other extra yummy dishes....but once you find your true love at a particular eatery well....you just get kinda stuck on it! I WILL be back, that's a promise. Trying to hold out for about two more weeks since I ordered this to go about two weeks ago. Self control is important too! Lol!

I love this place! The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is comfortable. They serve pitchers, too! Service is quick and courteous.

Best pizza and calzones that we've had in the area! I look forward to trying their salad next! We ordered Garlic Knots (with cheese and bacon), 18" (?) Deluxe Calzone, and personal size taco pizza. Let me tell ypu thr persomal pizza is big enough for two meals!!!! Do not let them fool you into thinking that you will be anything but satisfied by the time everything is said and done. Chey was our server and she was nothing but pleasant to work with.

You want an amazing mom and pops place well this is the best I have had in Virginia I live about 15 minutes from here and every single time they are packed which is an amazing thing because we all have something in common the love of this place They have the best pizza The best wings The best wait staff The best food hands down I don't care if I have to wait I know it's gonna be amazing We have even gone for lunch and the wine was perfectly served And the Hawaiian roll was so so good I will always recommend this restaurant Don't stop what your doing because you got it all going good Love them

I went to this restaurant tonight. They weren't that busy. Me and my husband were really hungry and the waitress was nice but I think she forgot to put our order in and we waited close to an hour for 2 taco salads. When we got them, we did not enjoy the food. Just a bad experience.

Husband ordered stuffed peppers entree and garlic bread with cheese, he has food poisoning. He has all the classic symptoms of it, will not be eating here ever again.
