JJ's Seafood

I wish I could give these "lying ass mofos" a minus zero star...So today ,May 2nd, I called these guys and they claimed to have a bushel of crabs. It was a bushel, BUT....I went ALL THE WAY from King William to this place and picked up a bushel for $130 of my hard earned dollars and got a bushel of BULLSHIT!!! Its OBVIOUS that these crabs WEREN'T "freshly cooked" as I was to they would be. The mustard in the crabs were orange....and the dead mane was grey...which ARE BOTH an indication of old & rotten crabs. Not to mention the crap was colder than a polar bear's toenail. I ve seen more integrity amongst crackheads in the street of Los Angeles....JJ's Seafood ARE REAL GANGSTERS......NEVER AGAIN!

My husband and I are homeowners in the Northern Neck, on the Chesapeake Bay, and we have access to all kinds of seafood markets in that area. We had heard amazing "shout outs" about JJ's Seafood so we decided to try him out. This past Friday, on my way to the Bay, from Hopewell, I drove to JJ's and picked up the 20 lbs of shrimp and 4 tuna steaks we had ordered ahead of time. JJ even kept in touch with me throughout the day to let me know when everything was arriving so I would not get there and have to wait. (I wouldn't have minded waiting because not only does JJ have a great personality but he is also very cute!!) When I arrived, JJ packed my coolers for me and carried everything to my car. Absolutely wonderful quality/freshness and service. I enjoy the oysters. I usually call ahead to have my oysters prepackaged for a quick in and out. Love this place. 10/10

My first visit today to JJ's will not be my last. Jason was most welcoming and made this novice seafood cook feel comfortable. The scallops I brought home were delicious! No grit and fresh. The store was clean and absolutely no "fishy" smell. I look forward to future trips. Good folks, good food!

JJ's has become our go to for fresh seafood. Whether it's VA Jumbo Lump Crabmeat, fresh NC shrimp, Rappahannock Oysters or some spicy Bloody Mary mix. They usually have some fresh fish and just started carrying some meat.

Not sure why it took so long for me to find JJ's. We headed there the other day to try their seafood for the first time. They came out of the store to take the order, introduce themselves and make suggestions, even shared their oyster stew recipe. We purchased lump crab meat, oysters Rockefeller (ready to cook in the oven), scallops and stuffed sole. Every item was of exceptional quality, freshness and well prepared. Customer service was exceptional, and they were just very sweet and helpful! They brought our seafood out to the car. And we got to to curbside purchase with the credit card. I am thrilled to have finally discovered them, and will certainly be a return customer! They have a great selection as well!

Wow! Terrific fresh seafood! We had 2 pounds of shrimp last night. Have eaten A LOT of shrimp from all over the US. This was among the best we've ever had!!!
