Jimmy G's Bistro & Chop House

Entered through the back entrance that gets you to the back bar. Don't see the other side but looks like it's the main seating area. Even though we entered and sat by the bar, the decorations was modern and beautiful. we had several entrées, including brussels sprouts and calamari. our drinks were great and their entrées were delicious. Our waiter and the manager checked up on us regularly. Prices are a bit high, but food and service is great. Would definitely come back.

This is an all around great place to celebrate all occasions. You could go with ya girl or hang out with the fellas. It would be great for one couple date night or a group of couples. The service was awesome from beginning to end. I made reservations for a party of 6. Ours table was ready when I arrived. Everyone in our party hadn't arrived but the restaurant was not bothered at all. They escorted us to our table introduced themselves and showed us welcoming hospitality until the rest of our party arrived. Mr William (the proprietor) came by and introduced himself and told us a little about the restaurant. He made sure he checked in a few times and encouraged us to come back and enjoy the many events that would be taking place in the days to come. He was very welcoming. He definitely made us feel at home. Now the food! Or waitress was very knowledgeable on the many options which helped us make our decision she also make a mean sweet tea (she did an awesome job)The bread they bring is warm and fresh also pairs well with the oil and whipped butter(try not to full up on that) the wedge salad could be shared as well as the capris salad. The cesar salad could be a meal if you add protein and there were plenty of protein options. The salad dressing covered the salads generously perfect. The steak was cut through like butter and melted in your mouth. The steak needed no sauce but if you like sauce there was plenty of options and I'm sure there will be one you like. The salmon was made to perfection however you wanted. The trio chicken didn't disappoint.ALL three were packed with flavor. The signature sidewinder fries make you forget about any curly fry you have ever had. They are fried as if that was someone's only job. The lobster ravioli was tender, sauce not too rich and smooth and full of lobster in the raviolis and outside swimming in the sauce. We will be back.

I can't believe how special they made me feel, the social media director came out and introduced himself, he also gave me 3 shirts. I also met the executive chef. I made reservations for me, my hubby, and my son the next evening. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous! It has a chic, clean look with bright white paint, classy murals of cityscapes, and black enamel trim. The lighting is just right not too dark or bright. The light fixtures are also pleasurable to the eye. We were led to the back where a grand piano was used for their special events. The booths are almost clamshell-shaped shaped and we loved this. They had specials for the night and our server, Aaron, was especially knowledgeable of the menu (even though it was only his 3rd night) and nice. We ordered:Appetizer: rockfish bites with aioli, Caprese salad, wedge saladEntree: prime beef tenderloin with sidewinder fries, veal ossobucco with loaded baked potato, JG's prime beef burgerEverything was absolutely delicious! It was all so beautifully presented as well. We had an amazing time here and can't wait to go back on a special occasion.

We went to Jimmy G's for my birthday, and it was a great choice. From the menu, it seemed like they'd have a New York steakhouse vibe, and I was rights. The prime ribeye I had was a great cut of meat, and was absolutely perfectly cooked. That exactly why you go to a steakhouse. They also had some very good wine options are fair prices. A prime steak and a big cab are one of the perfect combinations in dining out, and I got both here. The other items my family ordered were really good too. The lamb rack was also cooked perfect, and was reasonably-priced given the amount of lamb in an order. The eggplant rollatini was also great comfort food for an old New Yorker. Jimmy G's is a great place for a special dinner, highly recommended!

OUTSTANDING! I had never heard of this place until they were taking about it on FM99's morning show and were offering a deal. I've been looking for a decent place to get a steak and the reviews looked great and the menu looked awesome. I was not disappointed. We got bacon wrapped dates for an appetizer as I heard it talked about and read about in reviews. Very small starter but outstanding flavor. I ordered the 10oz tenderloin and my date orders the 6oz. They were cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. The bearnaise sauce perfectly complimented the steak. Service was great and it had a high end yet comfortable atmosphere. The bar looked super cool and I hope to return and hang out there for happy hour. The dessert (carrot cake) was only so-so. It wasn't bad but it was the weak point of the experience. I would try a different dessert next time. ... and there will 100% be a next time.

Amazing. Absolutely love this place. We came here on a whim and were so glad we did. It's in a strip mall type thing, but don't let that deter you. The inside is so cozy and classy looking. Service was excellent. We sat at the bar because we're bar people. I got the bees knees, which is prob one of my fav drinks ever, the Caesar salad, and the French onion soup. The soup was awesome because it came inside an onion!! An onion!! It's the little things in life, I tell ya. And that made me happy. Others in the group got burgers and lobster macaroni and cheese. I normally don't order lobster macaroni and cheese because I'm always disappointed, but this one was sooo good. I would definitely order that here in the future. Definitely love this place and will definitely be back many times in the future!

1st time here but not my last. It's in a strip mall with Bonefish, Harris Teeter, Forbidden Palace, an ABC store and a few other stores but don't let that fool you. It's very classy inside and yet relaxed in the bar. I love what they did with the inside. The bar had booths and a large bar and some tables....large enough for a large party. HH is 3-6 pm. We started with Bacon Wrapped Dates and they were delicious! I love that it came with 4 and not 3 or 5. Easier to share with 4. I also got a prime rib slider which was good. I definitely liked the slider size and the fact that you can get just one. The french onion soup was so good - lots of cheese and a good cheese pull. And it's served in an onion!! So cool....I only wish I could have eaten the onion if it was cooked more but then it wouldn't hold the soup. And OMG the bread that came with the soup was so good. Perfectly toasted with great flavor. I know...just bread...but it was goooood. My friend ordered the Rockfish with Lobster and a side of mashed potatoes. She said it was good - I had a bite of the potatoes and they were smooth and creamy and delicious. And I felt the price was right for the meal. Sadly I did not get to try the fish - she wasn't sharing. ;) The cosmos were delicious and Abby was a wonderful bartender. It was definitely filling up in the bar and I stayed longer then I thought I would because I was enjoying it so much. The restaurant side is beautiful and feels a bit like a New York restaurant. Definitely check out this new...ish restaurant and support local. They even have HH on Saturday. :)

Steaks were great. Cooked great. Brussels were a tad on soggy side and needed salt. Lobster mac was tasty. Looking forward to coming back. ESPRESSO Martini hit the spot

The skirt steak was exceptional and the lavender cocktail was so cute and tastes so good. The plantains were actually the best plantains I've ever had!!!! Connor provided outstanding service and was very knowledgeable! David came over to our table and greeted us and gave us some background on the restaurant and it was really just fabulous: My sister and I really had the best time, thanks so much

I wanted to take my cousin to dinner for her birthday and wanted to try a new place. I found jimmy g's through a web search and saw all the positive reviews and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! The restaurant was very intimate, warm and cozy feeling. I only ordered a Caesar salad with blackened chicken as my meal. My cousins ordered the crab cakes, lollipop lamb chops, Fra Diavolo pasta , and the salmon. They all loved their food especially the crab cakes! I tried my cousins Fra Diavolo pasta and it was good, I loved the little spicy kick to it. We also tried one of each dessert on the menu. The carrot cake and blue berry cake were my favorites, very moist. What I really liked the most about this place was how inviting and helpful the staff was. From the host, to our server, to the owner who came by and also checked on our table, they were all very warm and welcoming and knowledgeable with the menu. They really set the tone for a good experience. I also enjoyed the pace at which our food and drinks were served, nothing felt rushed. We were able to take our time and enjoy our drinks and dinner. Will definitely come back to try more of the menu !
