Oh man oh man oh man RAWR !!!!!! When I attended the cova burge event at the aviation museum I turned in and literally squealed because Duh! DINOSAURS !!!!!! I am a big kid at heart and I just loved dinosaurs and dragons and reptiles as a kid so I knew I'd be coming back asap!! This is only about 15 minutes from the courthouse area of Virginia Beach and worth the expedition Even after closing hours for the museum this front park stays open. I did not see any specific signs stating closed at sunset or what not There was a sign saying free admission and please do not climb on the Dino's I soon saw why (No I did not climb and fall) but they are mostly made of metal and steel I think some are more sturdy but some have rust and you can see they are wearing down and you may end up with tetanus if you get cut hahaha But this place is so cool some are bigger than others and there is even a wooly mammoth and a saber tooth tiger In the front there is a lil free library but it was very skimp so if you do visit bring some donations to add This would be an awesome spot for a picnic or even a cool photo shoot

Playing tourist in Virginia Beach, Virginia...My friend asked me where I wanted to go during my visit to her city. I looked up a list of things to do in Virginia Beach. As I was reading each item, she'd make a comment such as, " That's on the other side of town" or "There's not much to see there". When I came to Jerrassic Park, she said that she had taken her children there when they were little. She knew that there was free admission and where the free parking was. Located at the entrance of the Military Aviation Museum, Jerrassic Park is a fun place for children - even tall kids like me! Just park for free on the right side of the driveway and walk across the road. You'll find the sign that warns against climbing the metal structures. It was amusing to find the Wooly Mammoth, Saber-toothed predator, and dinosaurs... And entertaining to name each species! They were hidden in the trees, the lakes, the brush, and some were out in the open! I enjoyed this quick outing! Cony and Brown had an amazing adventure, too! LOL!

Looking for a free social -distancing friendly outdoor activity? This is your spot!I'm an adult with no kids and I had a great time checking out these roadside dinos. It's right at the entrance to the Military Aviation museum. They have a picnic table or two, but it's in the parking lot section across from the dinos. If you want to munch with the dinos you might want to bring your own picnic set up. I heard the story behind this place is they were bought in an auction. They really are more like works of art vs trying to be realistic dinosaurs. I thought the Wooly Mammoth was the coolest. Keep an eye on your littlest dino fans- the grass is a little over grown in some areas and there is water nearby. Make it a quick trip, stay for awhile and have a picnic, or make it part of your visit to the museum. It's a cool thing to check out!

This little bonus to the Military Aviation Museum is a welcoming area for the little ones (especially Dino fans)! This part of the museum is free admission, and they have a little parking area across the street. It's located in Pungo, which if you live anywhere further out, you might want to make sure that you visit other local places, like the museum or The Bee and the Biscuit (amazing dining spot) just to make your trip more worthwhile. Though fairly small/quick of a walk through of the dinosaur area, the huge dinos are enough to captivate the attention of the kids (or adults, lol). They make for great photo props.

We absolutely loved visiting this park! It might be small but it's so well maintained and all of us enjoyed every bit of it. The park itself is very easy to find and definitely worth the stop. It contains all sorts of dinosaur statues that was fun for adults, kids, and fur kids alike. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend to take a quick walk to see it.

What a cute little spot! This is the perfect place for anyone who loves dinosaurs... like my son. We did not tell our son that we were going to stop by we were on our way back from Cape Charles. As we drove down the road we pulled in to the parking lot area and saw the dinosaurs we went and turned around in the museums parking lot and parked towards the entrance. The moment my son saw the dinosaurs he was beyond excited. So excited that he forgot to look to before crossing the street lol! The details are amazing. We stayed for about 15-20min walking around. No one else was there.... could have been the rain. But, it was a great visit. I highly recommend bringing kiddos here to check them out if you are board one day and do not feel Iike taking them to a playground. Big plus.... IT'S FREE!

Jerrassic Park in Virginia Beach is separate yet connected to the Military Aviation Museum. It's located on Princess Anne Road right at the entrance to the Museum. Parking is on the right side under the tree's as you enter. Jerrassic Park is also free to the public unlike the rest of the Military Aviation Museum. What you'll find in the park is beautifully designed and painted metal sculpted dinosaurs. The park has been around for a while and the plants have started to grow up and around some of the dinosaurs, and this actually makes it better as they look like they're coming out of the bushes. You'll find everything from Brontosaurus's to Saber-toothed Tigers and a Wooly Mammoth. Big nasty alpha predator's like Spinosaurus and a mama Tyrannosaurus Rex are also on hand. Watch out for her baby's they're hungry and waiting for a meal. If you look closely you may also see a pack of Velociraptor's nearby and don't forget to look up into the trees there might be a Pterodactyl looking back at you. All in all this is a great place for kids and families alike to see dinosaurs and the wonderful work that was done to recreate these creatures from a bygone era. Pack a lunch and eat at one of the picnic tables available. Their aren't many but at least they're in the shade.

Free and open 24/7. Just kinda in the middle of no where but near Virginia Beach! The art and quality of the dinosaur sculptures are worth the drive tho! It's near the aviation museum as well so you can knock two things off your list! Perfect for random fun pictures! Parked right next to it and luckily it was empty and spent like 15 min snapping cool photos! Definitely one of a kind experience and if you appreciate dinosaurs you'll love it!
