Jenny Cakes at the Lake

This is such a cool place on the lake. The staff is very welcoming, and assists you rather quickly. At times (like in the summer) it's busy and they have a line, but it's worth the wait. They have doughnuts, brownies, croissants, muffins, and a variety of other pastries, oh my!! They have a window bar area for seating inside. They also have some outdoor seating, and even a couple of rocking chairs up front. They have flowers on the table, which adds a calming vibe for a bakery. The gluten-free blueberry muffin is delicious! It has nuts, blueberries, and chocolate chips. The doughnuts are so filling. They even have cold brew!! Go it check out!!

Amazing baked goods and the bagels were so delicious! Chewy on the outside and soft inside! We went on the 4th of July weekend and it was packed; but the staff was so efficient and the line moved fast!

You can tell from the parking lot that this place must be a town favorite--every space was taken up! Pleasantly surprised--this little bakery has A LOT going on. Donuts, cookies, muffins, croissants, scones, brownies, cakes, pies, cannolis, dessert bars, coffee, tea, sodas, and bagels is what we saw when we were there and apparently the selection was just half of what they had available that morning! I was told that it is recommended to get here within the first hour of opening in order to see the full menu. When we got there which was around three hours after opening, half of the menu was gone! My absolute favorite tasting was the LEMON BAR. Best lemon bar I have ever had!Fun facts:They sell novels from local authors--grab a book and head to the lake! With a lemon bar of course.

Jenny Cakes at the Lake is so good. You can choose from bagels, donuts, pastries and desserts. We tried a cronut, bavarian cream filled donut, sticky bun, oatmeal raisin cookie, devil's food cake donut and apple fritter. Our favorite was the cronut but they were all good. I recommend visiting early because they can sell out of certain items.

Stopped in here while having a mom's trip this weekend. The building is beautiful as well as the porch. Friendly staff and very welcoming. Delicious treats, had to come back before leaving to go home and everything was delicious.

We looked forward to coming back to Jenny Cakes again this year while staying on Lake Gaston. Everything is delicious. You will not be disappointed with whatever you choose.

Boston Creme!!! All the donuts are amazing, but the Boston Creme is outstanding. This is a must when you go to lake Gaston.

Being at the lake year round I try to avoid during peak times (which is summer especially weekends!) my husband has to have his jelly donut and will fight the crowds!Very good baked good for sure. A bit pricey

Love their scones , muffins & cookies. Staff is always friendly, and call in order feature is very convenient. Hopefully, online ordering is coming soon

I thought Lake Gaston was my happy place already. Then came Jenny Cakes and made it even happier!We got a birthday cake, bunches of bagels, a few donuts, and coffee. Zero complaints from my group of 12. LOVE it.
