Okay so this is my second time trying their food. January 17th 2025 my husband ordered the oxtail with Mac and cheese with white rice; and a jersey chicken with rice n peas for me and fried plantain. He felt his oxtail wasn't that flavorful and I'd have to agree when it came to my jerk chicken as well. Do today January 18th I wanted to give them another try. Today I ordered the curry chicken with rice and peas and I must say all the flavors were hitting superbly. From the very first bite I was glad I decided to come back in and give them another try. The lemon cake was tasty as well and not too sweet but a delightful taste of sweet goodness.I'm new to Suffolk so definitely trying to locate my tasty spots for my favorite types of meals. I would definitely recommend to give them a try. I will say this as well the owner was very nice and listened and noted my concerns about my first meal and thanked me for giving them a second chance. I'll be back soon!!

I spent over $60 (Uber Eats delivery) on this Oxtail plate....ohhh the disappointment. The oxtails were falling off the bone-YES- BUT they were small and had NO flavor to them- so bland- taste like boiled meat!! The Mac'n cheese was not cheesy at all. And I had very little rice and peas.... the cabbage was okay.

The food was very good and the customer service is great. I do prefer baked Mac & Cheese... therefore; I will choose a different side next time.

Probably wanna call ahead if you want a specific menu item, 'cause we missed out on the Jerk Salmon; but I won't dock that against em, when things have been slow and it's "made to order" ya know? Anyways, good service, good food, good price at least during lunch hours (12-2PM)

Food was very good! We got the salmon & Rasta pasta! Good customer service. Food didn't take too long. They were out of Mac & cheese and plantains, so I can't wait to go back to try!

There used to be a Jamaican place across the street from this one called Jammin Jerk, I ate there and reviewed them about 10 years ago and they were terrible. Now we have this little gem of a Jamaican spot that lit-trally outdoes itself....lemme tell you what I'm talking bout....Their Jamaican beef Patty is authentic, delicious, flaky, golden, scrumptious, get in my belly, give me more, fantastic. I also ordered the Jamaican fried chicken because I was hesitant to order the jerk chicken given my traumatizing experience with Jammin Jerk - yeah that bad, but my hubby got the jerk chicken and it was pretty damn good. They served the jerk sauce on the side, the jerk chicken itself was charred perfectly and had a great amount of spicy bite to it. Now back to the Jamaican fried chicken.....I'm not sure exactly what distinguishes this from other varieties of fried chicken but I can assure you that it's tasty, crispy, warm, mouth watering goodness served with your choice of sides (I had plantains and cole slaw) will keep your mind and taste buds occupied. Bottom line - Eat here now

The meal was very good, it was hot, seasoned well, but small in size; I could have ate 3 pieces of fish. The peas and rice were good, once you mix the cabbage in to add the spice and flavor it up. The plantains finished the meal off. The prices are fair and the customer service was great. I would definitely return to try some of the other menu items.

Update from second visit 9/30/22I ordered 2 meals online but 2 separate orders as paid with 2 different cards. Ordered  and paid AHEAD of time so that I could just pick up the food omw back to work. 1st meal was supposed to be ready at 2:40pm on 9/30 and the second at 2:50pm. Got there at 3pm, told the cashier I had 2 online orders, he said ok, just waiting on the soup. Should be 5 to 8 mins. Then at 3:15 pm he calls my phone, not realizing I'm in the store to tell me they are out of salmon so they can't make the 2:50pm order....so not only did he not listen to me when I  said I had 2 orders, he is also telling me 25 mins after it should have been done. Then he offers to make something else, initially I agreed, but wanted the monetary difference back from the more expensive salmon meal I originally paid for. He says  a number of things: Jamminz owners don't like to refund customers, he is new, he doest know how to do refunds, the price on the menu is wrong and so is the price online, that I'm not looking at the right prices. After demanding a full refund at this point, he instantly refunds my money. I was the only person in there when this occurred aside from 2 others that came and left before I did. They were not busy, but heavily disorganized. Poor customer service and I was lied to by the male cashier about getting a refund. Not to mention the male cook who continued to gaze at me, told me he was going to give me extra food, gazed at me as I left, then followed me outside to gaze some more and told me to "be safe". It was very creepy and I got into my car as soon as possible.Online orders were placed at 2:08pm and 2:38pm. Ample time to be completed prior to my arrival. This place is unprofessional and inappropriate. I will not be attempting to support this small business anymore.

So I've been here about 2 or 3 more times since my last review and I've had 2 great experiences. Rasta pasta. Excellent. Curry chicken excellent. Mac and cheese getting better. Yams yum! Dumplings so good. Barbecue fried chicken tasty!! I think they just need to work on consistency and keeping the menu items available.

as a native New Yorker I have to say I'm very disappointed. This is possibly the fourth time that I have been there. The first time the food was great and the Cocoa bread was authentic. The second time the food was so so same exact meal every time curry shrimp with potatoes I don't eat meat and cocoa bread not too much not too hard the third time was super disappointed the shrimp, taste overcooked, and the cocoa bread was literally a hamburger bun smashed up, I went back again today against my better judgment because my husband was in the area and needless to say I will not be going back. I can make the same dish at home for cheaper and better.
