Super impressive for a museum. So many options all reasonably priced. We decided for sandwiches. I had a turkey and swiss while my wife had Virginia ham and cheddar. Bread choices were many and fresh. Also had a fixings bar. They were giant sandwiches! Other options were pizza, burgers, hot dogs, bbq, stews and much more. We also ordered the corn bread. Excellent period food. Opt for the fountain drinks versus the 20 ounce bottles. I took home a giant Reeses cookie because I was too full to eat.

Cafeteria style, and fantastic! Fresh, original recipes at reasonable prices. This is not your high school cafeteria!

Had an amazing time at the Jamestown Settlement. I chaperoned my sons class field trip, and the experience was very enlightening. I gained a lot of information that I had not known about this area. It really opened my eyes to the large amount of history that we have in the Hampton Roads area. If you are looking for a historical trip where the kids will not only be entertained but also gain knowledge. This is the place to be. You will not be disappointed in your visit.

We ate here after visiting the settlement. The food was good ( I forgot to take pictures :( ). They had a nice selection I would say it's cafeteria style. We got chicken strips and fries and they gave us plenty. The prices were reasonable enough. There was plenty of seating in the area and you could also sit outside. I would eat here again when I'm at the settlement.

Nice place. We were expecting expensive, lousy food. We were very surprised. If you are visiting Jamestown, great place to eat then go back to the Settlement.

We visited Jamestown Settlement today, which I highly recommend, and stopped at the cafe to have a late lunch before on to our next adventure. Unbeknownst to us, the cafe was closing in 5 minutes. This is a cafeteria style establishment and the food was still out but they were getting ready to put it away. The male worker behind the food informed us we had only a couple of minutes so "hurry and decide" what you want. Now understandably, he wants to finish up but I felt his manner was a tad on the rude side. We quickly decided. My husband went with the jalapeno stuffing under BBQ beef brisket. He reports the stuffing was mushy but the brisket was good. I had chicken chili with a large portion of cornbread. The chili was really good and had a bit of a kick to it, reminiscent of something my daddy would make, and there is no higher praise than that! The cornbread was disappointing. He supposedly heated it up but it was still fairly cold and too dry and crumbly. It could be because it was 4pm..... Not sure.

After sightseeing, the family stopped in for a bite to eat. The hamburgers were a little overpriced but were good. I Heard no complaints from my daughter. The chili over a biscuit was also good.

We ate here because eof selection of food and location. This was a mistake. We should have driven 20 minutes into town for food. Brisket was OK but the jalapeño on bread is more like a soggy mush, or corn bread a jalapeños eaten by a dog and then spit back up!! Pulled pork was unflavorful and tasted only like vinegar and bad being bbq sauce. Stick to the pizza or grilled cheese if you have to eat there.

I have never eaten peanut soup before, but it was quite good. I recommend it in the bread bowl. My SO got the double bacon cheeseburger & it was more than he could finish. He said it was excellent. The kids got grilled hotdogs & fries, and it was good as well. I had read the reviews beforehand because I was afraid it would be average food at best with exorbitant prices, but I was pleasantly surprised!
