Jade Villa is absolutely one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to.The intimate environment made me, and my friends feel comfortable and relaxed. The shared dining experience with good sized portions made for a satisfying meal and memorable moment. Each dish we ordered and shared was brought to the table fast and everything tasted great. I'd highly recommend it for special occasions or when you just want some a great.Me and my wife will be back soon!

Food was not as good as it used to be! Came here for Dinner the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. My Wife and I ordered our Meals and it seemed to take forever! Wasn't really busy at all! People who came in after us were getting their Food before we did!The Roast Pork Egg Foo Young was Bland, and the Gravy that came with it tasted like it was from a Jar of Heinz Pork Gravy because it was Gloopy and Tasteless! My Wife's Dish didn't taste that much better either! Her Beef and Vegetables Dish had no Flavor as well! Her Sauce tasted like it was from a Jar as well! The Salt and Pepper Shakers were Dirty, and looked like they had not been cleaned in a very long time!Being that we grew up in New York City and gone to several Restaurants in Chinatown, we know how the Food should taste like! This didn't taste Good at All!Would not Recommend this place to anyone looking for Chinese Food!

very good food! took some time to get used to, but i like the food and how quickly we got it! i will say that the carts of food that go around are not available on weekdays (according to one of the employees) so you have to order form the menu. i'm assuming that is because it is busier on weekends, so that's when they have the cart of food rolling around.other than that, it was good, we will be coming back again!

I meant to write this months ago, we frequent this place every time we are in Virginia Beach on Saturday's. It gets busy extremely fast but the food is already ready as it is dim sum style. It is very traditional which is something I love. I forgot to take pictures as I was too busy stuffing my face. I have not been there on any day but Saturday so I have not tried anything but the specials that day. Worth a long trip as it is easily 45 minutes for us to get there.

This place in VA Beach is quite good and tasty, pretty authentic dim sum, service is good too, they just need to put the chili oil in an enclosed container, not an open one, people talk and saliva will fly into it. Chinese restaurants need to mind cleanliness and hygiene.

As the only dim sum spot in the 757, Jade Villa suffers from a lack of competition to drive up the quality of its dim sum, or maybe they just don't have a renowned dim sum chef but the dim sum here is just not up to standard when compared to major cities with larger Chinese communities like NYC, LA, DC, etc.I do commend jade villa for bringing dim sum to a smaller market like the 757 and do recommend if you are new to dim sum to give it a try.I'm giving a 4 star review because I want to support this Chinese business but if you are a dim sum connoisseur I would temper your expectations.

An Epicurean Haven in Hampton Roads!Embarking on a gastronomic adventure at this dim sum haven is like unlocking the gates to a culinary paradise. A true gem in the heart of Hampton Roads, this authentic dim sum restaurant not only meets but surpasses all expectations.I was initially taken aback by the later weekend opening time of 12 pm, having been accustomed to California's early risers in the dim sum scene. However, as I approached the entrance at 11:45 am, the anticipation of a sumptuous feast was palpable in the air, evident from the bustling line of 30 to 40 people that had already formed. What sets this establishment apart is the genuine experience of traditional dim sum, complete with the iconic rolling carts that weave through the tables. The surprise of hearing Cantonese being spoken by one of the ladies pushing the cart added an extra layer of authenticity and nostalgia for those familiar with the roots of this culinary tradition.Despite the substantial crowd, the service remained impeccable. The dim sum classics, ranging from the savory Siu Mai pork dumplings to the exquisite Har Gow shrimp dumplings and the delectable Ha Cherng shrimp rice crepe, were nothing short of perfection. The chicken feet, a daring choice for some, were an absolute delight and a must-try for those seeking a true dim sum experience. The variety, while not exhaustive, provided ample choices, and each dish emerged piping hot and steamy, a testament to the kitchen's commitment to quality. Having spent considerable time in Los Angeles, the familiarity and warmth of this dim sum spot were a nostalgic embrace of home. The pricing is fair and reasonable, with dishes starting at $4.50 and going up to $6.50. The $2 per person charge for tea felt like a small investment in enhancing the overall dining experience. Ample parking only added to the convenience, making this establishment a beacon for dim sum enthusiasts.I was particularly pleased to find chili oil ready on the table upon entering, a thoughtful touch that elevated the dining experience. In essence, this dim sum haven has not only recreated the flavors of home for me but has also set a new standard for authenticity, service, and ambiance in the Hampton Roads area.In conclusion, my taste buds have found a new sanctuary, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit to savor the delightful symphony of flavors and aromas that this establishment has mastered. A heartfelt recommendation for anyone seeking an unparalleled dim sum experience in Hampton Roads--I will undoubtedly be back for more!

Finally made it over to Jade Villa to experience a meal! We came for lunch and it was not busy at all - just a few other tables during our dining experience. Even so, the server seemed to be a bit overwhelmed and was struggling to keep up. We started with a few selections from the dim sum menu, which is really what excites me most about Jade Villa. The dumplings were all delicious, but the pork bun was very dry with close to no filling on the inside. As a heads up, not all of their dim sum is available all of the time. For the whole dim sum menu, you have to go on weekends early. We ordered Shrimp Egg Foo Young and Mongolian Beef as our entrees. The Mongolian Beef was delicious. Loved the veggies. The Egg Foo Young was also really good, but the gravy was unfortunately very watery and bland, so overall the dish was not our favorite.

Stopped by for dim sum on Sunday and it was just average, nothing to rave about. The service was slow and we were mostly ignored compared to our other non-Asian guests. Food quality was also just average. Some of the food tasted spoiled (shrimp was very shrimpy), sauce tasted like it was out for too long, buns were mostly bread and little filling, etc. i would probably try another restaurant when I am back to compare.
