Shrimp salad! Mmmmmmm! The place smells like a fish market, as it should. The crabmeat is freshly picked. If they're out, they won't fill the ice bed with meat that has been purchased outside. Don't go on the first operating day of the week, because fresh stocks will be low.

Gorgeous fresh fish and a well stocked prepared food selection. Everything from fresh salads to deviled crabs to the ever-so-wonderful "Rivah Dip". It is very easy to go crazy and keep ordering because it all looks (and tastes) so good!

I drive a an hour and a half to come to this place, its well worth it... They are great people with a great attitude, and everything is well put together !!!

I lived in Deltaville for 20 years and love this seafood market! From Va Beach and back here again but we have nothing here that can come close to this I've ordered for Christmas and having shipped! You want the Best and some things you can only get here this is your go to! You won't be disappointed!

Great little seafood shop! Get your bait and tackle, some wine, a hostess gift and fresh fish for a gourmet dinner, all in this one little place! My first impression of a seafood store is how it smells. If I can smell the fish, I won't buy. J&W has never disappointed. Well, except when I want fish and they're closed. We stop quite often for fresh seafood. The shrimp salad is one of the best I've had, and the fish/seafood is always fresh. They'll offer to pack in Ice for you, too! Nice small selection of wine and gift-y items, as well as selection of additional ingredients, so you don't have to make a second stop at the grocery.

This place is amazing. I have two words "rivah dip". My god I could slather it all over my body it's so good!

Not cheap, but great fresh fish. Mostly seafood, but some prepared foods (like crab dip) are available. We bought a piece of salmon and Spanish Mackerel. They were amazing and no "fishy" smell so you know it's fresh. Supplies available to fishermen as well. Great and friendly service.

bait & tackle shop has a good selection, fair prices and friendly service.The seafood market portion of the store is VERY OVERPRICED and not the freshest looking fish. 20$ for 1 lb of flounder?! buy it cooked at a restaurant cheaper. I've been to many seafood markets in VA and this place was double those prices.

Great selection of fresh seafood and made to go items. Can easily get all you need for a wonderful meal at home including wine.

The food is great! No complaints on the food we have received. The gentleman at the cashier on the fishing gear side of store is super nice and helpful. I give 2 stars cause every time we grab seafood + food the employees are not welcoming. They rush you with your order and are very short when talking to you. Overall, they give us the impression that they either hate their job or are having a bad day. Smile a little bit. Instead of "anything else?" x20.... maybe "any questions?" or "how's your day?" or "how can i help you?" Be kind and maybe I will enjoy shopping from J&W Seafood.
