J & K Food

There were food trucks at the back to school kickoff, so we tried J & K Grill's Foodtruck.. The line wasn't to long when i got there. Grandma was taking orders and shes so sweet and patient!! I ordered the cheesesteak eggrolls for $11 and the Keona patty melt for $13+ $1 for lettuce and tomato. The order was up in about 6 minutes. The owner is very nice. He found me a box for togo since i wasn't eating there. So i greatly appreciated that. The eggrolls were very tasty and they came with a yummy dipping sauce. They were hot and fresh and came with 2 in an order with seasoned fries... I so appreciated the seasoning!! The fries were crispy and delicious. The burger was also good with all the fixings... This saved me from cooking dinner, so that was a plus!!! At their actual restaurant they have collard green and black eye peas egg rolls and Keona makes her own juices. Which I'd like to try. Shes a very sweet young lady whose always smiling and very helpful... I've tried J &K at their Providence Rd location and they're always very nice. They also sell good cake. The strawberry crunch and banana pudding cakes are yummy... I will have to try out their newest location also... Check them out!! 4 stars J & K...

So - I've tried this truck twice now at two different locations. The first was at an event at Oozelfinch Brewery, the second was at the Food Truck Festival in Newport News. On both occasions, I was really underwhelmed by the food. So many people were raving about it, I thought maybe it was just me. But I got the sliders and fries, and I mean, they were *fine* - totally edible - but nothing special. And for $11 I was expecting something mind-blowing since that price tag would land me a full sized burger and sides most places. Wasn't thrilled with the service either time either. In the future, I'll probably be passing on this truck.

I love this place the food is amazing. I ordered thru grub hub but my philly rolls didnt come with sauce and I was missing my side of cheese I paid for. So that's why I'm giving 3 stars

I contacted the regular store to find out which Anthem address the food truck would be at today. I was told by the lady on the phone to "check the website" before she proceeded to hang up, I then had to stop her, to let her know that I just needed to know which Anthem they would be at, instead on her telling me, I was told to check the Facebook page because she "didn't know". I feel as though the communication should be better between the restaurant and the truck, and the restaurant should be able to tell customers where the truck will be located om certaim days, instead of being told to look on a website or social media page.

If you you are looking for a great place to have some friendly conversation and Amazing food; get in your car and take a drive to J&K Style grill. There are so many different options to choose from when it comes to good eats. My favorite menus item is going to have to be those Collard Green stuffed wings with Carribian Candy rub. Mmm mom good. So, again if you're looking for good eats stop on by and make some new friends.

Had their food today (5/1/2020)...Food Truck came to the office. In one word..."Excellent"! Food was delicious, well seasoned, and pleasing to the eye! Thanks J&K...keep doing your thang!!!!!
