Cash only, and there is an ATM. I like soft sub rolls and that's what they serve, and my wife liked here square bread too. Roast beef was good but I made the mistake of asking for salt and pepper, and the guy put way too much salt, almost making it inedible. The chicken salad had green and jalapeno peppers, which was unexpected but my wife said it was good. The system for ordering seems to be a little haphazard, so save yourself time and go up to the cashier to order. The place was a little lacking for other product selections, but not insufficient, with a reasonable number of chip choices. There were a few signs about the lack of staff, requesting patience. I feel like a small tech investment would help a lot.

This is one of my family's favorite sub shop on Chincoteague. We have been coming to their business every year and look forward to having their steak and cheese subs!

Two people in the store when we arrived. They had called in an order. Order was missing 1 out of 2 sandwiches. We placed our order for two cheesesteak sandwiches, and waited 40 minutes. Several people came and left while we were waiting, some were call ins, some were not. The gentleman behind the counter asked what we were waiting on about 25 minutes into our wait. Another 15 minutes, and still no sandwiches. We decided to leave. The lady behind the counter was rude and said over her shoulder she had no help. There were 4 people behind the counter. Sad, as this place came recommended by a friend whose family lives on the island.

I didn't get any pics this time around but this is my go to for hoagies(or subs as other people call them) on the island. I called in my order since I had a pretty big order and they had it ready in a half an hour. I'm from philly where we have many good delis and this one is pretty good.

When I vacationed on Chincoteague island, J & B was only a short walk away. When I arrived, the staff was very kind and the selection was enormous. When I got my meal (the roast beef sub) it was massive and tasted very nice. I would recommend this place to anyone on that side of the island so that you can experience the authentic cuisine of Chincoteague.

Was excited to try a Chincoteague staple, until we saw "Nobody wants to work anymore" on the door sign. If nobody wants to work for you, you don't treat your workers right! Turned right around and headed on down the street.

Best Subs in town (or on the shore actually). Not open on a regular basis, so you may want to call before heading that way. Cash only, beware..

I went to JB's and ordered a small tuna sub and I have to say that sub was outstanding! The service was great and they were very friendly and professional. I will definitely be going back every chance I visit Chincoteague Island! I have gotten subs from Steve's II and JB's definitely had them beat by a mile! JB's will definitely continue to get my business! Keep up the great work JB's

$12.99 for a veggie sub. When I ordered a veggie sandwich no one knew how to make one. When it was time to pay, they charged the same price as a Italian sub. Total rip off. Place looks dirty too. Mistake spending my money here.
