Island Snowball

Tasty ice cream and milk shakes! Very cute and clean establishment in the food lion shopping plaza. Ordered one scoop of cookies and cream and my bf ordered one scoop of moose tracks. One scoop was more like 2.5 scoops!Moose tracks tasted better than cookies and cream in our opinions, but we both enjoyed it very much and would highly recommend!

Bottom Line: Snowballs and various other cold desserts served by friendly staff.At Island Snowball snowballs are just the tip of the ice. This little shop located in the Nags Head Mall at MP 14.5 also offers ice cream, iced coffees, smoothies, brownie sundaes, banana splits and other cold sweet treats. As far as their signature item they have many flavors of snowballs and a long list of flavor combinations. Unless I study the menu before visiting I tend to default to a pina colada snowball topped with marshmallow. I have tried anything here other than the snowballs.There is some seating out front which is convenient.Service is always friendly.

Great little shop in a less than great strip. They had so many flavors and combos to choose from - you could get snow cones, ice cream, or combine the two! There were also 6 specialties like Brownie, Float, Cookie, and Banana Split things. It was ground ice, not shaved, but the people were kind and the portions large. I got a stuffed Pokémon (strawberry & wedding cake over cookie dough ice cream) and I got him a Tiger's Blood over cookies n cream ice cream. I also got color-change reusable cups for next time because I knew we'd be back. Sitting out on their picnic tables we just had a view of the parking lots and traffic. It was very convenient to ride our bikes too though.

Tasty is or tasty does? The treat I had was delicious. I love cookies and cream icecream along with Heath bar crunch and butterscotch. A treat I can't have to often. Our server Maud Francesca Spellbody. Did an excellent job. She was very patient and professional. She will make a wonderful manager one day.

My son said to write a five star review, which I'm happy to do. The service was super friendly, and tons of fun flavors to choose from. I got the Grave Digger (grape and lemon lime), he got a Rainbow to go with his face mask. Super delicious, got some painful brain freezes.

Awesome milkshakes and ice cream! So many different flavors available hard to choose the right one!

This place has snow cones and just about everything else you can think of.. milkshakes, banana splits, cookie sandwiches, etc. I got a stuffed creamsicle snow cone with vanilla ice cream which was delicious and refreshing! The vanilla ice cream was super creamy. Very clean store with friendly staff and great prices

Finally found a shaved ice place down here! Clean and so many flavors to choose from! They even have a decent number of ice cream flavors if you're not in the mood for shaved ice. But really, who doesn't like shaved ice!? I got mango and blackberry flavors the first day and strawberry watermelon the second day. The ice was a little more coarse that I would have preferred, but still delicious and refreshing!

I love snowballs. They are NOT icees, not snow cones and not Italian ices. The ice is fine and shaved to order, then flavored with your choice. Island was very friendly and the ice was good. I found the flavor a bit sweeter than necessary but had it "stuffed" with vanilla soft serve and that made it just fine.Better than Booty Treats snowball, imho. About 3.5 stars

My kids loved it. A huge selection. Location is meh. I don't love that the frozen coffee is full of BS ingredients but I don't expect tea coffee from a place like this.
