Ichiban Japanese Steak House

I hate wasting my money on food that's not good ! I do not feel like 18.51 was worth it ! One of the worse places ! Should of read the reviews first !

While traveling, needed some Japanese food, well not really Japanese but the food was actual good. We both ordered chicken w the rice and zucchini. The portion size was decent and like I said it was good. The restaurant is nothing to look at, just ordered it and ate in the truck. Even, if wasn't for COVID I would still eat in the truck then inside. That's just me.

The quality of the food was great but the portions of rice to vegetables was horrendous. One scoop of rice and lots of vegetables. I asked did they serve spring rolls or maybe a egg roll was told they did not. Menu choices are little limited, no sushi or other dishes that you'd expect at a restaurant like this. Not quite sure what the situation was with the employees, the young lady was FaceTiming on the phone the entire time while ordering my food, complaining of being tired, not receiving any help, taking phone orders and helping me and several other customers. Although she did not have phone in her hand the other party on the phone was there. The cook did his job and truly was not concerned with anything other than his task. In my opinion this restaurant could truly be a jewel in this location hopefully I'll have the chance to try again.

It is 8:27 pm...we have been calling the restaurant since 8 it was going to their voicemail which said it was full!! We go to the store and the gentleman says they are not taking anymore orders...I am extremely disappointed and will be letting Lee know!! I work in customer service and would NEVER do what they did...They definitely are not representing the restaurant well!!!

The food is good, I admit that...the food is consistently good. That being said, the portions do not always seem consistently the same. We usually get take out because the atmosphere is that of a take out place...nothing special. The customer service is lacking; the employees need some training on being friendly, without being odd.

We are not a fan of this restaurant. In our opinion, the flavor was awful. We ordered the Samurai Combo with fried rice and a side order of noodles. What a disappointment. It was like the food was old, or had been sitting a while and was re-heated. Bummer!! We were craving that delicious Japanese flavor that's ohhh sooo good!! Should've walked to Wal-Mart to purchase a frozen meal that would've cost less and tasted better. Perhaps ordering at 8:30 p.m. had something to do with our meal?? Might give this place another try. Can't always base things on first impressions.

Travelers Beware! This was the worst restaurant I have ever visited in my 50+ years. It is not a Japanese style restaurant. Before you eat here please rethink your plan. I spent over $70 and want to drive back to get a refund. This place should not be open, sorry. They are bamboozling travelers to stay open by them being near the highway. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. They are not sanitary, when we sat down there was a spider in the corner and they didn't even had music on when we came in. You can hear the coworkers arguing, saying gods name in vein. Horrible customer service.

I eat here a lot. Always good food and large portions. Their yum yum sauce is excellent.

I travel a lot so I'm always stopping at places to eat. I usually don't write reviews but this was a MAJOR disappointment. I called ahead to order and when we got there it wasn't ready. We waited for a while before it was ready. I opened my plate and the plate looked sorry. I ate some because I was hungry and had not eaten breakfast or lunch. The meat didn't have any flavor. I had the samurai platter. The rice tasted stale. The carrots tasted like canned carrots and had an extremely sweet taste to them. I took a few bites and threw it away. My husband didn't even eat his plate. we spent almost $30 on it. I feel bad for writing this review but I don't want anyone else to spend their money on something not worth it. Just a heads up.
