I Got Your Crabs

Still AMAZING!!! Stopped back in and all the food was still so good! We had crab legs, fried shrimp taco, crab soup, and hush puppies and one dish was just as good as the next. Service is still great, and they make you feel right at home. Always make sure you have what you need/want. The place is still the same small size but if you work it at the right times (getting there early you won't have a problem!

If fresh and tasty seafood is what you're looking for, this is the spot to go to. It tastes like they just caught it fresh from the Atlantic Ocean and fried it up. I had fish tacos with mango and other toppings, crab, and waffle fries. The service is fast and friendly. The staff stay positive and emit good vibes and are super attentive. The vibes and ambiance were warm and inviting. I got my crabs here and I hope you get yours here too. Highly recommend stopping here for yummy seafood, good times, and good vibes!

Beginning of trip, we hit "I got your crabs." My first impression of blue crabs on the island was quite favorable. Service was quick and friendly.Ordered the crab nachos which will become a theme on the island. We also ordered a dozen medium steamed blue crabs. O.M.G. Nachos were a lightly fried wonton chip. So airy and crisp with crab in every bite. I ate so much that when the whole crabs arrived, I was already stuffed. But, stuffed or not I ate more of these tasty critters. We had leftovers, which we heated at the hotel and enjoyed a second meal.Cute little bar with counters and bar stools. Brown paper is put on the stainless steel counters. Located in a little strip mall, parking was plentiful since we got there early. It was completely full when we left. A good place for good food.

Walk in and eat at the counter. All fresh seafood made, shucked to order! Yum. You will enjoy the food.

If you're seeking a a variety of seafood from a place that specializes in shellfish and oysters then I Got Your Crabs is the place to check out. Instead of your seaside patio its setup resembles a diner in a strip mall. Wait for a seat at the counter and you'll get a great view of the seafood coming out of the kitchen as well as the crabs by the register.We started with the crab bisque which created us not only with great flavor but with delicious small chunks of crab. The meals were large servings and my whole family was stuffed. The breading on the soft shell crab was good and not overpowering, allowing me to enjoy the taste of the crab. We stopped here for lunch and were pleased with what we were served. Servers are friendly and attentive even though busy with lots of customers. Drinks refilled frequently--we got sweet tea (half unsweet) and it was delicious and refreshing.The place is clean, bustling. Mostly sit-at-the-counter service. Their steamed crabs looked great peeking at food brought to other patrons! Take cash to pay for your meal otherwise there's an almost 5% charge to use credit cards! We will go again!

Real authentic fish shack!! Counter service was fun. The servers were exceptional. The crab amazing. My SIL got the oysters and crab chowder. It had a fun vibe and we talked w those sitting around us. I LOVED the story of the man who started the business. Make sure to read the back of the menu. Lots of regular locals.

The service was excellent, the waiter was very attentive and sweet to my daughter. It's a small restaurant with about two booths and bar stools. I went specifically for the blue crab sandwich but was not a fan at all. The crab tasted stale and was too fried. On the other hand, the shrimp tacos were delicious! It had a nice kick to it with a mango sauce. Overall, not anything too special but a good local bar.

First time in the OBX and we were looking for a place to have lunch, after checking the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. We started with a Pinot Grigio, then the wife had the soft crab plate with hush puppies (the portion was great we ended taking some hush puppies to the hotel). I had a total of four tacos = two orders; (what can I say I was hungry). I had one taco each; Crab Meat, Steamed Shrimp, Soft Crab and Flounder. Just an order of two would have been perfect as the portions were pretty good plus I had a side order of delicious potatoes. The service was excellent with the servers always checking if everything was ok. The place is a little on the small side but with great food, great service and nice people it does get busy. Next time we're in the area we will be back. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed crabs from here for several summers. Always a delight to order and so yummy! Beautiful crabs. We will continue to return.
