Overall, this hotel is clean and comfortable, with wonderful views. Everyone I encountered among the staff was friendly; however, I found the valet parking situation to be extremely disappointing. I don't understand why valet parking is required when there aren't enough staff members to accommodate the number of cars and guests. Additionally, the layout of the pull-in area in front of the hotel is poorly designed for valet service, causing cars to stack up into the street due to insufficient staffing. We also observed that the valet key box was frequently left unlocked and unattended. I mentioned this issue to one of the valets, who acknowledged that it was a problem. However, he seemed too busy to lock the key box, or perhaps he didn't have a key. In any case, this situation is very concerning. The complimentary hotel breakfast was satisfactory and met my expectations, but it's important to have measured expectations, as it is not allergy-friendly. Furthermore, there weren't enough staff members to clean the tables properly between guests.Given my experience, I'm not sure I would have been willing to pay the full rate for my stay, although I benefited from a winter season discount.Additionally, please be aware that the patio shown in their promotional photos is not accessible to hotel guests. It primarily serves as an extension of one of the private suites, so you would need to book that specific room to gain access.Lastly, it was disappointing that there were no recycling bins in the room or around the hotel. I also noticed an excessive amount of plastic being used throughout the property, which I thought was unusual for a Category Five Hyatt. I believe this property should be reevaluated for its rating.

After a long drive, we pulled up to the Hyatt Place. We were greeted by Ethan who was smiling. He asked if he could assist us and parking our car. At this point we knew we were in good hands! We then checked in. The process was fast and smooth. As we entered the room, it smelled like it was just cleaned, it was clean! The room was spacious. There was a balcony overlooking the ocean. We also had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. Yes, they have a full bar and lounge with inside and outside seating overlooking the ocean.Anytime we wanted to come and go, Ethan was there with our car. I almost forgot, one night it was raining. We wanted to go out on the town to a restaurant. Ethan took us to a restaurant in the golf cart! That was special!Thank you to Ethan and the entire staff at the Hyatt Place! You definitely earned your five star review! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I stayed at the Hyatt they never failed to amaze me. I booked through the Hyatt world app. It was easy. Room was clean and floor was quiet. They have free breakfast downstairs. It was good. They have valet parking which makes it easy. Just call 15 minutes before you come down.. so they can have your vehicle out front.

Read b4 u leave!!!________________________BRING PAPER PLACES OR BOWLS AND PLASTIC UTENSILS !________________________-For breakfast they have all metal utensils glass bowls and glass plates. They had these tiny little paper bowls out that we snagged and used to bring to rooms we had 3 bowls each, with napkins in between each bowl to stack them so the bottom of the bowls would not get dirty from sinking into the food. We had left over plastic intensive from Togo Thai food we order last night. It seems they try and keep people eating down there and trying to not let them take food up to their rooms and eat. Made me so mad not having the option and material available. Well they did have them tiny small bowls and after seeing my wife and I take advantage even of the small bowls, they might get rid of that now. Haha. But anyways people all around, it's noisy, people crowding all around, coughing, and just all up in the way and we just woke up. What makes this hotel think after their guest just woke up they want to be all around each other! So if you are able to bring paper palates/bowls and plastic utensils so you can take it back to your alls room eat relax and enjoy looking out at the water with the back balcony door open having the breeze flown in and the tv on in the background while you can eat and drink in peace. LEAH checked us in with a big smile and welcome. She was very friendly and professional. Our room was very nice, wish we had a higher room but other than that the experience was great. We were in room 202. ROOM HAD A MICROWAVE AND MINI REFRIGERATOR! Which was very nice. Some hotels around don't have a microwave in the rooms which is not excellent service in my opinion. But this hotel did. Every hotel should have fridges and microwaves, it's a must! It's needed. Especially if u go out to eat at a restaurant and have left overs u want to eat again later. They have valet service which is part of the stay here. U call down to the office let them know you'd like to go out and they go and get the vehicle in the garage across the street where they park it. Takes within 15min or less for them to get it and have it out front for you ready so you can go out at your convenience. The room was clean and we enjoyed our stay. I'd give 5 stars, but only gave 4 because they need to have the option with paper plates and all to bring the breakfast up to the rooms if guest wanted.

We stayed here over the holidays, and we chose it because this Hyatt had been newly built and was in a very central location. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the balcony attached to the room was wonderful and had an amazing view of the oceanfront. While we enjoyed our stay, the hotel lacked a few things that I think are important. 1) The outlets were sparse and oddly placed. We had to charge our devices across the room as there weren't any close to the couch or bed. 2) The shower malfunctioned one of the days and did not have hot water. 3) There weren't any luggage racks in the room, and when we asked for one from the front desk, we were informed that the desk area in our room was the luggage rack. The breakfast they provided was average, but it was nice that it was included. We ended up going elsewhere after eating the hotel breakfast once. I would happily stay here again though. The room was very nice, and our experience was overall positive.

We visited Va Beach for a long weekend, and I have nothing but good things to say about Hyatt Place. Since we visited during the offseason, the rates were pretty generous (about $100 per night). From my understanding, this hotel opened in 2023, so everything is new and shiny. That said, I saw housekeeping constantly cleaning the common areas. While on the medium size, our hotel room was super comfortable. OMG, the shower was absolutely amazing. The staff was super friendly, helpful and resourceful. A complimentary breakfast is included. The breakfast had a decent variety of goodies-typically scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, pancakes/waffles/french toast, sausage/bacon, yogurt, an amazing berry compote, and cereal. There probably were more things that I missed. The hotel is located in a decent part of the boardwalk so you'll be within walking distance to many great restaurants in the area and the beach (of course). The only (very minor) inconvenience is the valet service (15 or so minutes) can take a bit of time especially during check out hours. Overall, I would gladly to return to this hotel for another Va Beach adventure.

I stayed at the Hyatt Place while in town for work. They conveniently valet your vehicle for you for $9. The front desk associates were very friendly and quickly checked me in. They recently opened so everything was new and clean. I stayed in a king suite with the city view. The room was very spacious and clean with a modern look. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend the Hyatt place if you're in town and looking for a hotel to stay at.

Nice and new but but but . This is not a category 5. Hyatt needs to down grade it. It nice and new. Mattress terrible you sink in. They don't even know what. A globalist is. Sad. It is the lowest level of the Hyatt brand. Breakfast is terrible. Just terrible. No upgrades as a globalist. I have not seen this during my travels. Also the iron in my nice clean room was rusty and damaged a brand new white shirt. Be careful when u use the iron. I turned it into the front desk Overall location is ok. Not a jet setter place more appropriate for dogs and children. Family stuff. Beach life. Overall all of our party rooms were very clean. The housekeeping on the floors very nice and super clean. But then again it s pretty new. Over charges on the room rate they had no idea. Called concierge , they weren't sure. I hope my bill is correct tomorrow

Hello Yelpers! I am finally catching up on some reviews from this previous week and our visit to Virginia Beach. My parents and I were in town for a family event and decided to stay at Hyatt Place Oceanfront. I am a Hyatt member, so I figured it would be a good way to build up my points.Location: The location of the hotel is decent. It can be a little difficult to get in and out of the front lot for valet when it gets busy; however, the valet team do a good job at getting the cars parked in a timely manner. Not to mention, my experience with their service was really good. Each had a good attitude and moved quickly to accommodate when we arrived and when we left. Wait time was no more than 5-6 minutes. The entrance to the hotel was nice. It appeared clean and maintained. As for our check-in, our experience was not so pleasant. There were several people standing by the computers and we had to wait a few minutes before someone acknowledged us. Additionally, we were priced differently on the phone when we made our initial reservation. To our surprise, when we arrived to check in, the amount was much higher than expected. Furthermore, when we asked to adjust our check-in and check-out dates, it seemed as if the young man helping us was not sure what to do. He definitely needs to work on his active listening skills. I say this because we only needed two keys; however, when I reminded him (he was making 3), he seemed agitated and tossed the third key to the side. I understand it was a small gesture, but it stood out the most. When we finally got to our room, we were definitely satisfied. It appeared clean and prepared. Our oceanfront view was more than expected and we were extremely happy. The beds were comfortable and the towels were soft. We had a mini fridge in the room, so that helped keep some snacks and waters we had from our car trip cool. Although we were only there for about 2 nights, our stay was pleasant. A couple things I did want to address which caught my attention was the sticker on one of the fire alarms and it seems a sealer was missing from the fire sprinkler. It seems small and most people would not catch it, but it was hard not to look up at the ceiling and not see this. One thing I like about Hyatt hotels is that they have their continental breakfast. This was good. The food was fresh and replenished if they were running low. Seating in the eating area was plentiful and they did their best to clean the tables as people left. Definitely had a lot of options from fruits to oatmeal, cereal, bagels/toast, to Canadian bacon and Canadian Turkey bacon, etc.Towards the end of our stay, I noticed after a certain time there was no one in the valet booth. We had to leave our car parked outside and make contact with someone at the desk to turn our keys over so our vehicle could be parked. While waiting, we noticed the rolling safe with the keys was left unattended and open by the entrance/exit. If someone who was very observant saw where they parked their cars for valet, they could easily grab a handful of keys and get away with some vehicles. This needs to be addressed to prevent this from happening. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would most likely stay again. Even though our experience at check-in was not the greatest, our experience at check-out was. Queenie and Leah were amazing and we wished we could have had them throughout our stay. We understand no business or hotel/resort is perfect and there is always room for improvement, but I do recommend Hyatt Place Virginia Beach/Oceanfront if you are ever in the area.Happy Travel Adventures!
