Hot for Pizza

My partner and I are long-time vegans and we LOVED the pizza here! We got the vegan Runnin' for Basil and vegan Garfield and omg, incredible! A perfect East-Coast slice; crispy dough through every bite and lots of flavor. Probably the best vegan pizza we've had in RVA!The vibe is pretty cool too: small, local bar with red lighting and DJ's on special nights (maybe Thursdays?). Fun pics on the tables and walls w/ 2 tv screens over the bar playing not-sports, which I thought was fun :)Service was great too - it's seat yourself and the staff were very nice. There was even some fun banter between staff that we thought was fun :)Overall, highly recommend!

Pizza is mediocre. Worst part was when the restaurant STOLE MONEY from us by adding extra tip to the receipt after signing. Disputed with credit card to get my money back. DO NOT go here. Way overpriced pizza, poor service and worst of all they will steal money from you.UPDATE - could not reply to Gerald's response so updating my review post. I sent a message through the order/contact section on your web page. Adding tip money after guest leaves is absolutely unacceptable.

No complaints, my other lunch go to spot.. Very chill during lunch.. customer service is always on point .

Pizza 9.5/10 (absolutely DELICIOUS!) Service 4/10, Time food arrives 1/10 (wait time over an hour and it was only 1 other couple in the place with us) Ambiance 5/10...music at one point was giving scary dark heavy metal and they were playing a horror movie on one of the screens...,yikes! Would definitely come back but ONLY ONLY ONLY carry out!

I've gotten the Garfield pizza every time I've ordered from here. I normally get it delivered but decided to do pick up for once.There's street parking and luckily I was able to find a close spot. The bartender was so kind, nice and welcoming during our interaction. The place is chill and my pizza was ready when I arrived. Their pizzas do take a while but I think they're worth it.

This is a total dive - in a great way! This is a bar serving amazing pizza. Interior is small seats about 25 and there are 2 picnic tables out front. Although this seems like a place full of regulars as a newbie we were greeted warmly. There was a DJ playing retro music which I loved! Ordered a couple cocktails - dark & stormy and king built. Both were made perfectly. The staff was attentive and kept us informed so if you're reading review's that complain about service maybe it was an off day ‍ check this place out! The pizza we ordered was Van Zuylen- very cheesy, crust was crisp but still tender. I was there was more soppressetta but I know to request next time. I would also request the spicy sauce bc I like for my nose to run. The wait was a normal amount of time for a pizza. If you want a place to eat your pizza with fork/knife this isn't it.... Although they are accommodating and probably would comply! definitely stop in!

Wow! I love hot for pizza. They have plenty of vegan options and the pies are large! We went on a Thursday around 8:30pm after a school event.Service was a little slow but the food was delicious. I can't remember the name of the pizza we ordered off the top of my head, but we did make it vegan. We requested half the pizza to have vegan sausage on it but the kitchen forgot to add it and we had tot request they remove the charge from our bill.The inside is fun and has a lot to look at. On the walls there are photographs of celebrities eating pizza alone with references from movies. Overall we enjoyed it.

Great vibes and service. Do not sleep on the spaghett ... p perfect amount of cheeses (plural), the meatballs are incredible and the marinara is 10/10. Honestly better than ***'s in my opinion. I cleaned the plate before I thought to take a pic.

We had a really great experience stopping in for lunch on a quiet Friday. Server/bartender was really great. If the receipt was correct, her name was Mel. Really good energy and super-friendly. The menu is extensive, so there's a lot of choice. What's nice is you can get the specials by the slice, since they can add the toppings on-demand. I went simple with a slice of cheese and a slice with sausage. My wife had a small alteration on the Hot Date pizza by dropping the date () and adding pepperoni. The crust is nice and thin, held up well, and was crispy. She loved her slice... So much that this week we're making pizza at home and she wants to recreate it. Drinks were good as well. One TINY downside was I wanted to get some t-shirts, but they didn't have the style I wanted. Sort of understandable as we were there just after Christmas, so they likely had a holiday run. Looks like they're not available for order online.Overall, I'll definitely head back next time we're in Richmond.

Had whatever this is delivered. It being THIS overcooked is not the delivery persons fault. This is TRASH! How DARE you send this out of your establishment. Try reheating that and see how it goes.I called to complain and you didn't even pick up so I'll leave this for everyone else to make their own decision. DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM HERE I got in my car to drive it back to them after they didn't pick up their phone a second time *just* to tell them personally they have no pride if they let burnt garbage like this out.They shrugged.Good riddance. Went down the street to grab a frozen pizza from Kroger's and I guarantee it will taste infinitely fresher than whatever they tried to pass off as fresh pizza here.
