Hot Diggity Dogs BBQ

I stopped by Hot Diggity Dogs recently for a Hot Dog. This place is located where Tony's Hot Dogs used to be, just off Newtown Road in the heart of Virginia Beach.The staff is friendly and the Hot Dogs are just as good as Tony's. I really enjoyed my experience here and I'm looking for to my next visit.

I LOVE this place! The customer service is amazing, the hot dogs I love the spicy NY pork all the way dog, and the fries with salt! And the chili add cheese! Pretty fast and fresh! Check them out!

This is an updated review with Chris back as the owner. Great hot dogs, chili is spot on, fries are air fried, service is also great. Chris has recently added hours for Mon-Thursdays to be open until 6pm.

Delicious hole in the wall right here in VB!! Reminds me of some of the hot dog joints in Buffalo. Here's what they have - hot dogs, meat dogs (no pork) and BBQ. They make the spicy vinegar in house. Food isn't cooked until ordered so it comes out piping hot!! Snapping skin dogs with the beanless chili I LOVE. They have fries and onion rings and it's a perfect "nothing goes to waste" portion sizePepsi products and alcohol for sale. They take credit cards. GREAT for kids and adults!

Great food love the Norfolk dog it is delicious!!! Service ia wonderful also listen if you have the hunger for a good hot dog. This is the spot!!!!

THE BEST hot dog around and at the same location as Tony's Hot Dogs on Newtown Rd. When Tony's closed, I was VERY sad. When I saw another Hot dog business took over Tony's I was skeptical but gave them a try and I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. The chili recipe is 98% like Tony's. The new owner offers additional items that are a great side to their famous Hot dog: fries, o-rings, bbq. I told the owner, "don't get rid of the counter stools, they are iconic and less is better. Don't try too much too soon". PLEASE give them a try!

I stopped in after driving by a few times.Good choice on a late Saturday morning!I was greeted when I walked in.Ordered a beef hot & beef sausage; both were great. I love the chili sauce (closet thing to Nick Tahou in Virginia Beach that I've tasted ).I told the cook if I enjoyed it, he could expect to see me twice a week. His response, "I guess we'll see you twice a week!" LOVE THAT ENERGY!!!Looks like a great lunch spot with just enough seating.I'll be back. *swarzenegger voice*One suggestion...split the hots & sausages for a fuller cook (to my taste).

Hot Diggity Dogs BBQ is a small hot dog and BBQ joint, nestled in a small strip plaza off of Newton. Their menu offers various dogs (Norfolk, beef, and NY hot sausage), pulled pork sandwiches, sides (french fries, cole slaw, chips, and a pickle), and fountain soda. I love that they have a limited menu where they focus on what they do well!What really has this place stand out is that the hot dog grill master is SUPER friendly, super welcoming, and encourages one to ask any and all the questions on their offerings. He's set up on the left as soon as you enter.We tried the Norfolk Dog, the Beef Dog, and the NY Hot Sauce, all 'all the way', which comes topped with chili, raw diced onions, and mustard. All were cooked well and fresh; the Norfolk had a nice snap to it, and I liked it more than the beef dog; the hot sausage was definitely spicy!Their chili tasted pretty good, too.The place is small, with some counter seating, a few tables, and a couple of booths. They also accept both cash and card.Note that there was only 1 server, so there may be a wait to get to you to get acknowledged by her and have your order(s) put in and pay.I'd be interested in trying out their BBQ sandwich the next time we're in town.Plenty of parking in the shared strip plaza lot.+Norfolk Dog, all the way+super friendly hot dog grill master!+seating inside available+parking in the shared strip plaza lot

The hot dogs are great... they remind me of home (NJ) Great service and super cute spot!

Really good hotdog, very reasonably priced, friendly staff & kept clean. Will be going back and would recommend.
