Joe price is an awesome instructor!. I did my private pilot training and he made sure I was ready before I went on to take my checkride. Couldn't have asked for a better person to teach me how to fly!

My experience was only negative while using multiple services there. I will not waste any more money at Horizon. Flight training was disastrous, maintenance service an awful experience, and front desk people were rude to me on more than one occasion (I don't think they like their jobs).

I signed my boyfriend and I up for his first discover flight and was extremely excited to surprise him. When we showed up, NO ONE was there, not even someone working in the office to answer our questions. We called several numbers and finally got in touch with someone who told us that the flight had been canceled due to weather. Neither the pilot nor customer service called us to let us know not to drive the hour it takes to get there. We rescheduled a few months later, and then heard from a close friend about a bad experience that they had on one of their flights with Horizon. They urged us not to do our flight with this company, so we called to cancel and get a refund. Turns out, they do not refund money once you already sign up for a flight and they charge your card. Not only did it take me a week and several phone calls and emails to find out this information, but when they first took my order for the flight, the employee did not inform me of this policy. I unkowingly paid 100 for a service that was non-refundable, even when the company cancels due to weather. I have heard good things about another center, Curtis Eads, but will have to wait until I get paid to sign up because this company will not return my money. What a horrible experience; please don't go through what we did with these people. There is no way that I would trust them to take me in the air.
