Honey Drizzle

Having food for the customers .We went to eat dinner on a Friday night with a party of about 13 people. The waitress took our orders. We never received our food and the waitress did not acknowledge the fact that she ran out of food.

Well, I finally visited The Honey Drizzle On Crater Road restaurant yesterday. I have to say what I had was Amazing! I had the Fried Whitting fish with Asparagus and Cabbage. I also got a side of Mac and Cheese to share with my friend Jerry Clark. The portions were very generous. The sides were served in individual bowls and large portions as well. The food arrived to our table Hot which I appreciated. Many times you get your food and it is lukewarm. The fish was excellent! It had a crispy crust that was well seasoned. You did not need anything on it, even though I asked for Hot Sauce and Tartar Sauce. For my sides, the Asparagus was perfectly cooked. The Cabbage was cooked with Bell Peppers and was very well seasoned. It was almost like Caribbean style. The Mac and Cheese was Awesome! It was very cheesy and creamy. It had that wonderful cheesy crust on top. It was something your Grandmother would make. It was not bland and again well seasoned. The menu has many choices and has a complete Brunch Menu. I even order a to go order of Fish, Mac and Cheese and Cabbage for my husband. The fish was boxed individually with the sides in individual containers. My husband was very impressed as well. He is a Mac and Cheese expert and he thought it was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and they were very attentive. I have to say this is one of the Best restaurants in Petersburg, Virginia. I was happy to see such a good crowd for an afternoon lunch. I can't wait to come back for their Lamb Chops. It has a full bar with specialty drinks. I had the Hurricane. If you are looking for a good place to go for lunch or dinner go to this restaurant. You will not regret it. If you are from out of town, it is worth the trip.

Decided to go here for a quick date night! It was recommended by a friend so we decided to give it a try. The inside is really cute. It's blue and white and on Sundays. They told us they have brunch. We will have to try brunch next time. I was a little disappointed when I ordered my pasta Because they told me they actually did not have any more of the noodles needed to make the pasta. I had already ordered salmon bites as an appetizer and my other half had ordered the the honey drizzle special with the two proteins and three sides. He had the chicken and the lamb chops and his three sides were yams, mac & cheese, and cabbage. He said he did not like the mac & cheese, but everything else was great. I ended up ordering a side of cabbage as my meal and it was really good however I had my mind set on that pasta. Because I don't eat meat there was nothing else that I really wanted on the menu at that time so I said next time I hope they have the noodles to make the pasta lol they have a full bar, and the place is huge inside so it's a nice place that you can actually run out as well. They have a lot of parking. I will definitely go back to give them another try.

The air conditioning wasn't working. We waited a very long time for a pick up order and they added a 15% "standard" fee to my order andStill asked for a tip on the tablet. Keep in mind this was a pick up order. We didn't even have a server.

The owner seems nice. The staff had great customer service and was very patient with our indecisiveness. The menu has a great selection of reasonably priced items... making it hard to decide if we wanted brunch or dinner. I ordered the salmon cake dinner, which comes with 2 sides and 2 salmon cakes. I added an extra side. I also ordered a homemade sweet tea. All items were good. My favorite items were the yams and sweet tea... taste just like I like it. The salmon cakes, cabbage and mac n cheese were good too. My friend ordered lamb chops, a waffle and eggs, in which she stated her food was great. The size of the restaurant is pretty large and spacious. The DJ was playing good music. The decor is diner style. They have booths, high tops and regular options, which is awesome! They even have a nice size bar area and outdoor seating with umbrellas. Free parking is available in the parking lot.I will return to try other food items at this new black owned restaurant.I returned the next day lol I ordered french toast, home fries, jerk chicken and mac n cheese Egg rolls, and honey old bay salmon bites. I absolutely loved how flavorful the salmon tasted! That sauce was so delicious. The French toast was very good too. The potatoes were fine, nothing wrong with them, just regular. The egg roll tasted better once I added honey old bay sauce to it. Items I would love to reorder at my next visit: sweet tea, yams, anything with honey old bay season and french toast!!!

The ambiance of this restaurant was a great vibe. The staff and manager were very polite and catering to customers. The food was amazing. Seasoned very well and great portion sizes.

We came to Honey Drizzle for Father's Day. The wait for our food was ridiculous. We waited 2 hours to get our food, and they still didn't bring everybody's food out. After such a long wait and anticipating some good food, the food was horrible. I will not recommend this place to anyone. But everyone has different tastes for food, soo if you like it, I love it for you. I'm not coming back. Waste of time and money. Kitchen very unorganized. And no one seems to know what's going on. This was very disappointing because I really do support Black Businesses .

I had seen people talking about the spot poorly but I always believe in that my experience may be different. But No as soon as we walked in there was a foul order in the main corridor and doesnt seem like they have AC because it was definitely hot in there. We had a beer and even though there were quite a few employees had to wave one down for another. We decided to go else where for food because the humidity was very bad. This space seems like a decent spot just might need to get that AC working and rent it out as venue cause as a restaurant would not recommend going there

What a wonderful experience staff was very nice and kind (Johnnette and Jay) and I want to S/O the owner Mario he ran out to the store to honor a special request for my clients, that wasn't on the menu he made it happen. Oh and the food was wonderful.
