Honda of Norfolk

This place has some history to it, a lot of it is still hanging about in the dust coating the showroom floor. Don't take this the wrong way however - there is a certain amount of charm to an older dealership that's survived the ups and downs over the years in the motorcycle industry yet somehow continues to open the doors every morning. It establishes an unspoken trust in an industry riddled with untrustworthy types. Take it from me, I used to work in it. Having said that - this is the motorcycle shop an enthusiast, weekend warrior or someone just starting out can buy a bike, get it serviced or fill a parts order without having to second guess the professionalism or integrity of the staff. That's increasingly rare these days but appreciated nonetheless.

Great experience purchasing a new Fury here. Everyone was very friendly, no pressure purchasing. Tiffany worked hard to get me a great financing rate, and helped me register and title the bike in my home state of Alaska (active duty military). They may be the only Honda dealer in the Hampton Roads area, but they are worth visiting. If you are trying to get there in person, be cautious, GPS does not lead you the right way. You have to turn a block early (imagine you are trying to come in around back).

The store had very good customer service, but the place is in a serious need of an upgrade!

People here are great. I purchased a Grom from here but own other Race only track bikes. Sales from service have been great. I brought a set of race bike wheels to mount the tires and brought my own tires and was a fair price. Always willing to help even if not Honda related. I highly recommend.

Awful experience with this business. Took my bike in for one reason and they found a plethora of other issues. On top of that ,problems l weren't having ,now I am having. I can't even start the bike. I honestly think they made my bike worse. I still had to pay 300$ just for oil change ,spark plugs ,air filter, and radiator fill. I've since bought a new bike but I can't give my old bike away since I have gotten it back.

Background: I was a BMW motorcycle technician for many years. I now work for Honda (not the motorcycle division). I checked out all the local Honda shops for my Honda motorcycle delivery. Paul (parts/sales) was the main reason I chose this dealer as my dealer. He was amazing through my purchase and delivery. He went above the norm to ensure everything was perfect (and it was). I will continue to give them all the business I can because of Paul and the technicians. For me to trust another person to work on my bike is a hard thing for me... since for 15 yrs no one touched my bike but me. However, Dave, Mike and Cody make it easy. I trust all of them to take care of my new VFR with no worries. Mike went above and beyond on my pre-delivery inspection, making sure it was set to my personal preferences. Dave took care of a weird warranty issue with my saddle bags. While, Cody hasn't worked on my bike yet, check out Motorcycle MD on YouTube and you'll know he is top shelf Honda Technician. These are rare straight up individuals who will take care of you and you bike! Cameron in sales even rolled out the red carpet for me and showed me all the used bikes in storage when I was hanging out on a Saturday waiting for service (he didn't even know who I was). This place just celebrated their 40th anniversary and has had employees like Dave from the start! That says something. If you need a new or used bike... go here. Service? No question go here. Parts call Paul!

Big fan of this place. The service department is great at what they do and the dude from MotorcycleMD.com is the bomb. Real honest folks that won't do work you don't need.

These guys are the standard of all things Honda Motorcycles. The knowledge and experience behind their work is unmatched by anyone in the area. From mowers and ATVs to rolling away with your first Honda bike, this is the ONLY place I would trust and give my money to. If you need any work done they are all great but Cody is outstanding.

*****Racially profiled and accused of stealing during a test drive. ***** I came in to look at an ATV, I had already been in contact with CAMERON THE GENERAL MANAGER about a month before this. My jeep was in the shop so I wasn't able to buy one then. I went in and talked to CAMERON THE GENERAL MANAGER, he showed me the ATV and I asked if I was able to test drive the ATV. He asked for my license and I gave it to him. I rode down their road for maybe 4 seconds. I was trying to do a U-turn only to see CAMERON THE GENERAL MANAGER, chasing me down on a dirt bike and yelling something. I went into the main road to turn around and at this point he is right next to me. He cursed at me to "turn the fuck around" and I told him that's exactly what I am already doing.... We get back to the dealership and he asked me "so what did you think?" I said what was that about, did you think i was trying to steal this? He said "you never know" I asked him if people have come here to steal before he said "well they tried but i chased them with my dirt bike."I told him I'm not sure how many thieves text you from their personal number, drive their personal vehicle, and give you their license before they would steal something.I'm wondering if those same thieves were just people that requested a test drive like me. I asked for my license back and left. He did try to claim he was chasing me because I was in the main road, but he was flying down the street before I even turned into the main road so I know that is not true, it's an excuse. Extremely embarassing . I do not adivse you to buy here if you are a person of color.

Go here for service! Don't hesitate! I've never been treated better at any auto repair shop. I live seven minutes from Casey Cycle in Newport News, and after they completely botched a clutch job, I took it to Dave Hunter at Honda of Norfolk. In a matter of a few days, Dave had my bike fixed (undoing and remedying the abysmal job done by Casey Cycle), and all for less than Casey charged me (and incidentally refuses to refund - avoid Casey like the plague!). I haven't purchased a motorcycle from Honda of Norfolk, but I've interacted with several employees in both sales and service, and I don't think I've ever met a more friendly bunch at an auto repair shop than the people at Honda of Norfolk.I've been a police motorcycle instructor for all of the Hampton Roads area police departments for several years, and have purchased multiple motorcycles over the last 20 years. I will go NOWHERE else for service on my Goldwing F6B. Honda of Norfolk won a customer for life because of their superb care for this customer. While in and out of the shop, I also witnessed interactions between several employees and other customers, and they treated everyone with the utmost respect and care.Honda owners: Honda of Norfolk is where it's at! Don't hesitate!
