Good morning, fellow Yelpers! It's ya favorite critic again , with yet another astonishing find, locayed in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. As usual, I used Yelp to direct me to a spot because my wife and I were both bitish after our morning workout. I ran across this and quickly scanned their menu, and it was right up our alley, I set out to see what was going on. Upon arrival, I was greeted and felt welcomed immediately! I saw a menu outside on the store front, but it was extensive, and by the time.i made it inside, I forgot what i wanted and had to get another menu, lol. I scanned what seemed like forever (The menu is extensive, so be prepared) and settled on turkey, egg and cheese andwich for my wife, and 2 breakfast biscuits (one sweet potato - hearing all great reviews of this, had to check it out). While waiting for my food, the Owner ( came out and we engaged in converstaion amidst her training a new employee (3rd day), and I got a real look into the background of the establishment and the direction they're headed! I would recommend anyone (health conscious or not - they have a multitude of Vegan & Keto options) to give this place a try! Let me tell you.... The "Sweet Potato Biscuit" is a MUST HAVE!! With the combo I chose, flavors were dancing all across my palate - thoroughly enjoyed it, was mad at myself for not ordering 2, lol. My wife said her sandwich was superb! She wants to try the combo on - The Sweet Potato Biscuit", go figure, lol. If you're ever in the Elizabeth City area, make it your business to stop and check them out. You will not be disappointed, and you will definitely run and tell a friend

The longest wait time ever, ordered one hour in advance, staff was polite however waited hour and 20 minutes before food was even close to ready

I sat for over an hour waiting for my food. I finally decided to cancel my order since no one even check up on us. They charged me for my drink and offered no apology, only a simple response "were understaffed". Meanwhile they were pumping out door dash orders like there was no tomorrow. Would never recommend a place where in store patrons are not taken care of.

Food is always freshly made just the way I ordered it. Atmosphere in the cafe is always pleasant among the staff as well as to the customers. You can tell that they work really hard together, in order to please their customers with the best food. My preference is the chicken and pasta salad on the cold plate along with a strawberry crunch cup cake :) I could eat that combination right now! I think I'll place my order!!!

Wanted to try a new place and I am so glad we did! Fresh cooked food made to order. The portions are really big, so bring an appetite. This restaurant does old school soul food with quality ingredients. Lots of menu choices we grew up with with some creative updates. We will be back!!

VERY VERY VERY SLOW. The food is okay ... but the time frame in which you actually receive your order is ridiculous. I have waited numerous times over an hour to get food I was told would be ready in 20mins. If you plan on eating here make sure you call it in before 12pm if you want it by 4pm.
