Home Emporium

The Home Emporium, located on South Military Highway in the heart of Chesapeake is a big store with lots of products available for the home. This is a fun place to roam around and just take a look at the items for sale. They have a large selection of area rugs, bathroom fixtures and many things in between.If you're looking for table and chairs, they have a decent selection. It's easy to lose track of time here as there is so much to see.

Love this store! It has lots of great and unique finds. It carries floor mirrors, indoor and patio furniture, calfskin and sheepskin rugs, and even gigantic rugs, flooring (laminate and tiles), cabinets, vanities, garden planters, bar stools, the list goes on and on. It's like a cross of Home Depot and lumber liquidators and world market.

By far one of my favorite places to shop. Such unique pieces in here. As a interior designer, I am able to find my customers amazing designs. Prices can be relatively inexpensive or very expensive doesn't seem to be much in between so be prepared for that.

Home Emporium have some good finds. It's one of those places where you have to check often to see what you can find. If you see something you like grab it, because it may not be there tomorrow.It's not the average store where they keep stock of certain items. It's left over materials, discounted items, and etc. watch out for the prices though because I thought I was getting a good price on a bathroom vanity and Home Depot had a better style for cheaper. It's a warehouse style environment like Lowes or Home Depot.

Hot - no AC. Cheap stuff. Ugh. Waste of time.I bookmarked this place on Yelp a while ago and wanted to see what it was all about. Some of the reviews are very positive so I figured it would be a treasure trove of home goodies all at excellent prices. As soon as I walked in I realized that was probably not the case. It was REALLY hot - no AC at all - so it was close to 90 degrees inside - and there is a very basic sort of musty smell throughout that reminded me of a room filled with old furniture with sheets on it.I sat on a tufted leather (or leather looking) couch which was priced at around $800 and looked at some lamps and fake flower arrangements and random cheap home goodies. At the front - where one checks out - it is set up like a Sam's Club warehouse almost. There are only a few lanes for checkout and there is a very ratty old drink machine with an older popcorn machine near their customer service desk where you can get popcorn. Not sure if you pay or if it is offered for free - I didn't get that far. No one offered to help or anything like that while we walked around. This isn't that sort of place. Don't get me wrong - this is probably an excellent place to find some cheap options for home decor for those looking for that sort of thing but it isn't really what I was expecting. Just know in advance this is like a much cheaper TJ Maxx store and if that is what you want - go for it I'm sure you'll find some good stuff at good prices (maybe).

It was hot af!! Hated shopping here. The selection kind of sucked and wasnt reallybmy style. They did have a good price on blue pearl granite and a coleman cooler though!!

This is a home improvement store that carries, kitchen, bathroom, patio furniture, tile, rugs, a variety of home items. I love this store they carry unique items and mostly closeouts. I would advise you to get all you need the first trip because sometimes the items sell out very fast. I have purchased a lot of lovely pieces for my home. The merchandise is quality and some items are irregular and scratch and dents. Overall these items are priced for there value. I highly recommend thus store did a remodel and everything turned out beautiful. Here ate some of my projects
