Holy Cow Creamery

Came in after dinner for some dessert. Everyone wanted some ice cream. I was pretty full from dinner and did not want anything. As I was looking at the menu I noticed the donut panini. I asked about it and the lady behind the counter said it was a warmed-up panini stuffed with ice cream. They recommended stuffed with lemon ice cream. What can I say, I ordered and it was scrumptious. I also ordered a chocolate cone in a waffle cone. The place is laid back and folks are friendly. The ambiance is very casual. I will be back for more.

The line was literally all the way out the door in the parking lot. Which makes you think the ice cream is bomb. Which it WAS. my stars are for the service they aren't the most friendly crew, they rushed us and didnt even give us a chance to browse the menu for first timers. Super cute inside, just wish they had better service.

I will start by saying there was a very long line but it moved quite quickly...the service there knows how to handle the crowds! They had a variety of flavors that sounded good and I wanted to sample several but didn't want to hold up the line so I just went for a scoop of their namesake - Holy Cow. It was a vanilla ice cream with bits of Oreo and pretzel and some sea salt caramel within. I was honestly pretty underwhelmed...the vanilla ice cream itself lacked flavor and there weren't many pretzel or Oreo pieces within, plus the texture wasn't as creamy as I'd have liked. Maybe other flavors would be better but it was not worth the $6+ in my opinion.

WHY IS THIS PLACE SO FRICKIN' GOOD? I love ice cream. I love this ice cream more. I can't think of another ice cream place anywhere that had these flavors and the richness. No OBX trip is complete without stopping here. My friends and I had 3 days here and I think we came here 3x. AND I'M LACTOSE INTOLERANT. So I only took a few bites each visit, of their ice cream, but they were amazing bites. They have a little bench inside and some seating outside to enjoy the treat. It's a cozy place. And service is fast and you get to try the flavors before buying. I really enjoyed stopping in here and I really recommend anyone on the fence to come!!

The flavor selections and the quality of their ice cream exceeded my expectations. Ended up on a completely different flavor palette than what I thought I was looking for and fully satisfied. The cheerful service warmed my heart. I was sad to not manage to go a second and third time. The sitting space may be rather limited, but comfortable. I went at a time things were not yet busy, so I was able to enjoy my ice cream in their portico-like space, on an armed chair instead of a stool and spend the time collecting my thoughts about what I'd be doing after. It all lifted my mood.

Great environment, great customer service and the ice cream is awesome and affordable. I love it. I'll be coming back

Absolutely delicious! Quick and efficient ordering system. Staff were very friendly and patient while we decided on what to order from their vast menu. It was very hard to pick but everything we ordered was really good! Didn't have a chance to take a picture because we gobbled down the ice cream.

Amazing ice cream! The lines are long but well worth it! Every flavor is out of this world and they have vegan options too.

They had a fair amount of ice cream flavors. I wish they had more toppings. They have young workers but they were really quick, kind and courteous. Will be coming back !
